I want Beaufighter to weigh in on this. I was with him at the Westcoaster when this first happened and I want to know his expert pilot thoughts as of now.
This is going to be a classic case of lawyers flinging poo in every direction and seeing to whom it sticks. It will go on for years. -- AlJust heard today that the lawyers are looking to sue Boeing as well as the carrier? How can they sue the airline when there is not a single piece of evidence that it was mechanical malfunction? --- Larry

This article by Roger Cohen in the New York Times sums up my attitude about CNN's pathetic coverage, http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/25/opinion/cohen-story-of-the-century.html?partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
In the name of ratings, they now begin every program with the phrase "Breaking News!," when there is obviously none, an utter travesty of the term. Their so-called reporters follow the company line and spend time on little else. Presumably and hopefully (for their sake), the same pilots and aviation experts who they trot out, day after day, show after show, are getting paid handsomely for their time.
