Has Mike ever done Naval Brigade versions of these? I am particularly interested in RNB in blues and whites with foreign service helmets rather than the later khaki versions. If he has and if you have them could you post them at your convenience? I would also be interested in seeing your photos of the Zulu War sets below.

Many thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy

Mike will always try to please his customers so I am sure he would comply with your request for Naval Brigade versions of the two sets you show. I'm afraid I don't have the sets you ask for pictures of.....but I think I know a man who does:wink2: Please step forward Buster ^&grin :salute::

Cheers

Martyn:)

2 very nice sets sadly missing from one other manufacturer also. Robin.

Thank you Martyn. I have finally ordered this set from Mike and plan on others. Your LL posts and Buster's are always a pleasure to sea.

Would have loved to have obliged Martyn, but alas I do not own the Sudan NB versions of those two fine sets. Before I could add all the LL Sudan NB sets I wanted I got distracted by a host of tantalizing Boer WAR NB being posted by a fellow forum member who will remain nameless. :rolleyes2::tongue:

If you have the Zulu War sets of the 2 subjects I would love to see pix of those since the LL stock images are small plus you always have great photos to share:salute::

Ahhh ..... I should have figured that one out Martyn, you never get glossy facts and figures confused ..... I on the other hand ..... :rolleyes2:^&confuse^&grin

Will have get some pics of the Heliograph and Rocket Battery sets this weekend, though the chances of my photos being any better than Mike's are slim and fat.

I posted this in 2009 and I believe it was after seeing it that you began collecting Little Legion.
I have now decided to add to this small collection thanks to you and Buster's inspiration.:salute:::)

Hi Buster,

I hear you....^&grin:cool:but one thing we need to get Martyn ( as a major shareholder of LL - at least in number of sets and influence on production ) to do ( is ask Mike ) to provide the sets detailed for the Boer period to be armed with Lee Metfords and not only the standard Martin Henry for that cuts us down " historically speaking" to play only the first Boer War and not the more challanging second and longest of the conflicts....the second Boer War. What brings me to the fact that Mike " finally " offers maxims on tripods and even earlier on pedestals for the gun boats....But historically incorrect for by the time the gatlings and Nordenfeldts of the world were phased out from front line and the Maxim came in ..... the troops were all armed with Lees and no longer Henrys.....^&grin^&grin

Martyn, you have amassed quite an impressive LL collection in such a short time ..... I would have thought you and Mike went a lot farther back than 2009. It was Joe, The Lt., that introduced me to LL AZW back in 2007, then a couple of years later someone started posting pics of LL Egypt/Sudan Naval Brigade figures ..... then Nile River Boats ..... then Sudan in Khaki ..... then Boer War NB ..... well, you get the idea. :rolleyes2:^&grin
