Obviously, I "liberated" this idea from Ollie!:redface2:

Best viewed Full screen.

The UI is pretty easy to use, BTW.

That said, I never figured out how to get pan/zoom to behave properly on individual slides.

Next up (hehe), Royal Flying Corps!:wink2:

Beautiful job, Moe. Love the D-7's and I swear I saw Bruno Stachel in there. -- Al

Well done Moe! Something very novel. :salute:: Chris

Thank you both, guys. I was kind of shocked when I clicked on the image folder and figured out that I could make a short video from the slide show I had just viewed. The more complex job is adding the bells and whistles.:redface2: Oh well, it's all done in fun. Glad y'all enjoyed my directorial debut!;)

Thanks Mike. The "movie maker" utility is actually pretty powerful and will allow for hi-res graphics like 1080p. However, the file size for even short clips in the larger formats is ginormous, in this instance 171mb. The one you watched was still a 20mb upload to YouTube. I've got so many forum pics saved from over the years that I could pump out one of these a day for at least a month!:eek: Hah, don't be concerned. I'll try to be sober and deliberate in my approach to deploying Ollie's idea to the JJD forum!

Very nice Moe! Like the others have said, it's good seeing our dio's presented in a different way.

Very nice indeed!!!!

Gentlemen, thank you both for the encouragement. I'll likely post more "movies" in coming days and weeks. As I noted in a post up the thread, I've got a LOT of material to work with. I also ought to mention that I'd been looking for a space-efficient means of displaying my KotS collection in its entirety. This just might be the ticket to doing so without eating up so much room on the TF-server!

Thanks again,:D

Wonderful work and an inspiration to future posts by other collectors I'm sure

Thanks Vicknor, As I mentioned, the little "videos" are awfully easy to generate. All that's needed is images to use as the slides. Goodness knows that I've got plenty of those!{eek3} The marginally more difficult proposition is adding music, captions and bookending graphics on the job. Then you publish the product on a service like YouTube that will allow third-party accessing of the file. Nothing to it.^&cool

Please forgive me folks, but I broke the YouTube link when I was organizing my files there.:redface2: You can view my little offering here:

My apologies,

B&W not amenable to aging eyes? A Gathering of Eagles is now in color!;)

Moe, outstanding! I know I've said it before, but your airfield dio is superb and the flight line of D-7's just screams 'The Great War'. Thanks for posting it. -- Al
