Hey Tom, that's interesting about the limited release and high price. I tried opening the link to have a look but it failed. Can you check again to see if it's correct? I'm trying from my work computer so maybe the issue is from my end. I'll try again from my home computer when I get home later.

here is the original link, for US English site - https://www.yoycart.com/Product/575058950399/

$550 US dollars

Tom

Interesting when you compare the prices on the two sites. The price on the Chinese site is 2450 which I'm assuming is the Chinese Yuan which when converted into USD is around $357 at today's currency exchange rate. Mind you I just noticed the price on this site now has a line through it! Some funny things are going on with this site not to mention everything is in Chinese!!!

Look very nice, thanks for the photos and link. I think it would look great if some of these KT's that are suddenly coming out would have some missing fenders from maneuver or battle damage like you often see on 1/35 models. (Frank has voiced this many times, but so far he has not been heard.) Doing so just adds to the realism IMO and it provides the opportunity to see what's behind those guards, almost adding another dimension to the piece. I always liked that aspect about the old K & C BBG016.

It seems to be a command tank, not a regular one. We talked in detail about the differences between a command Tiger I and a regular Tiger I, but I wonder whether those differences are identical in the King Tiger.

Really nice looking but that PRICE is a dream killer for many.

Didn't see that coming, was hoping it would be around the price of those nice Tigers and Panthers they did a few years back.

I have no inside information on this, but noticing on Yoycart there are 45 of them. That has been a production run in the past so either they did 90 -100 and there are a few coming to the US/World or they are only releasing on the Chinese market.

Regarding price, I believe if you buy this on Taobao and pay fees, the prices may end up being near the same.

Further investigation thanks to Sahara is that it is a preorder and I posted elsewhere, the cynic in me believes that they don't have the funding to run the tank and the preorder for about 1/2 the 100 tank run is their way of capital raising. SO, it is sold on the China sites, they raise the funding, maybe they produce it.

I still go back to when I tried to place a good size order for some stock they had in China and all I heard was crickets...................just not a way to run a viable business in the least IMO. Not running a viable business seems to be contagious amongst certain manufacturers in this hobby...........

I still think Pigs may very well fly before this Tiger prowls in the USA, but I have been wrong in the past.

$500+ ....Sorry but no way.:rolleyes2:...It's just too much for a model tank.....Bring it in for $300-350 then were talking :salute::

Check this picture out.

I photo edited it to take the over exposure elements out for better viewing.

I didn't add any color or extra shading to this picture.

Carlos.....IMO.It does indeed look better then the FL Camo Paint ...BUT ALSO at $500+ it is cost prohibitive for most of us.....I had a hard time justifying $465 for the FL King Tiger and so I did not make the purchase .....So $500+ is even more difficult to justify.

It does look awesome but I have to agree, $550 USD is to much for me to spend on one tank. I passed on the FL KT because of it's high price so there's no way I would consider this one despite the incredible detail.

IMO prices are touching the sky... I know quality is expensive but I think some sellers prefer to sell 100 items at $450/each instead of selling 180 at $250/each, they are free to price their items as we are to buy or not to buy them.

Guys, the tank looks great. If you look at other items available for sale on the site you will see prices are inflated. These most likely are the ones meant for the chinese market. There are 50 or so regular Figarti customers in China. this will generate sales and cash for them to to travel to Chicago. I bet if you wait, you will be able to get them for more like $300-400 range. Initially we were shooting for $299.00.

This is my thought anyway, sadly communication is not good as of late.

If you want to reserve one matt@hobbybunker.com
I can't guarantee anything.

A second KT with 222 markings appears to be available now for the same cost.
