I took some liberties here but I hope you can overlook the uniforms and use your imagination to see the intended idea:

It's April 19, 1775 and the midnight riders have just canvassed the country side to alert the minutemen that the redcoats were on their way.

With his 2 neighbors already mounted and at his side, this particular farmer hurriedly saddles his horse in time to say goodbye to his wife and daughter as his wife hands him his musket.

These alarms had been frequent leading up to this famous date. No one knew if this was going to be another false alarm or not.

Little did they know that 245 years ago today that they would participate in history and hear the "Shot heard 'round the world".

Thanks Marco. Shooting in low light is very difficult and I had a tough time getting this scene "just right". Here is the Troiani painting used as inspiration for my dio:

You're welcome! They mostly work to preserve American Civil War battlefields, but they have expanded into the American War of Independence and War of 1812 as well.
