Deciding to separate from Pancho Villa's loyalists, a number of men migrated to the United States with hope of a new future. Traveling through the desert of the Southwest would prove to be an arduous task and not all would make it. Although their guns and bandoleers were most useful in skirmishes with Indians, the desolate land with lack of water was another matter.

Yes it looks bleak and you would gladly swap bullets for water anytime in this environment. Good one Rob. Robin.
 
Takes a whole different perspective when done in colour and yes very pleasing. Robin.

Nicely done! Love the sepia tone shots but the color photos look great too.

Great composition of the different scenes, wonderful backdrop and I do prefer the coloured photographs, they look like coming out of a western movie. Most impressive picture in my opinion: the vaquero on horseback in the desert
