  • Jake,
Thanks for the tip! I see Jag likes it too...They have a Cabelas Store nearby so a little extra incentive

Thanks Vick. Hope your having a wonderful time in Gettysburg! Make sure you stop at the Gettysburg antique center, your head will spin when you see all those toy soldiers.:D
Hi Vick! Glad you find the 360s helpful. After months of a void in the photography position our man Brock got on board and he is just about caught up with all the products waiting in queue. Soon every product will have a 360--no small undertaking! Regards, Shannon
    Jake,
HAVE YOU SEEN THE GUNN SET?!? I wouldn't be able to find anything to compare. Maybe some Trophy Beja fuzzy Wuzzys attacking the MG team with broadswords!
Now, who has the strength to bend a .50 cal barrel?
    Mike
    Jake,
Your wish is my command! Anything you need, Friend! Will wait impatiently for the set to arrive!

Hi Jake, Just returned home from visiting with my daughter and her family - saw your notes. Your Omaha Beach dio sounds like a big undertaking. I am absolutely convinced that floral foam is the only way to go - I will never use blue/pink foam board or bead board again. As far as taking closeups - I have had no trouble. I use my camera with the mode dial on the Automatic setting, the focus mode set on Macro, and the image size set on 1600 x 1200. I place the camera within 6" of the subject and I depress the shutter release button - the camera automatically focuses and takes a clear crisp picture. Make sure your camera is set on Macro - I have to reset my camera to Macro everytime I turn it on.

I will probably attend the K&C dinner. I sat through 2 of Ken's dio demos last year - learned alot - would highly recommend.
I plan to arrive at the OTSN show in Chicago sometime Friday morning. Perhaps we can link up.

Thanks for the suggestion Vick. I am familiar with H&A products - you are right the urban debris would look nice. As soon as I get caught up with the Zulu range I plan to resume the WB Napoleonic range.

Thanks for the intel Vick - I look forward to seeing the pics of your trees . . . . . . .Mike
Just took the time to look at your albums. Great Ranger and Specail Forces pictures Vick.

Hello Vick, Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed my pictures. The Hougoumont dio is a work in progress and is currently taking up one end of a 4' X 8' table that my grandchildren used to play on with a Playmobil castle system I built them - thus the trees (you have a good eye). The trees are the only thing I have currently to use that would resemble anything close to a European tree. They work in a pinch but they certainly lack a certain amount of detail that a serious dioramist would strive for. I would rather have Dept 56 or JG Miniature trees. Mike
Hi LGV, We are just starting to pin down details for OTSN. Would you be interested in another demo this year? You can definitely ask us to bring a specific item--we take requests. ;)
    Vick

Well - sorry if you find something else - let me know.

Yes - Speaker Gingrich and I worked together for many years and he is a personal friend.
One is a wooden bridge which I made myself from bits of wood found at my local models shop, and the other is long cardboard strips and 'JENGA' blocks which I have layed out over some cardboard blocks, I will send you some pictures if you want?:)
I shall need your e-mail addressbut if you would like some:)
Painting runs about $12.00 each Conversions would be based on the job I need the tubing which can be found any where. Do you have any pictures? How many guys did you want converted? Do you have them? I might know where there are a few boxes available. Did you see my latest Spartans?
