  • That is a great Trophy collection.
I took the liberty of downloading all your images.
    Thanks for psoting them.
Thanks! I love your Napoleonic and Arsenyev Studios figures! Superb details and quality!
    JW,
You are a lucky man - 1/2 as much - I am happy if my wife is willing to enjoy it 1/100!! Oops. I think she heard me type that..... Got to run now - she is calling me to get off the computer and go to bed. Guess if you still feel like a kid with the toys, you get treated like one:) Have a good one. All the best, Lawrence
    JW,
Posted photo of the Naval Gun. Figures definitely of the older Trophy style. Like you, I am drawn to Trophy's artillery sets. Still looking for the elephant artillery set. If I see a Trophy set of horse-drawn artillery, I will definitely let you know. Saw the Figarti Railway Gun in Chicago - WOW. Was tempted, but if one showed up at my door, my wife would show me the door!! If I had a place like Jim Hillestad, I would pick that up as well as their B-17 - guess I can always dream... Posted another artillery shot of Trophy British artillery batteries. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed putting the photo together. All the best, Lawrence
    JW,
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it is one of Trophy's iconic sets. I had the Naval Gun, but never found one with the oxen. The one I now am the proud owner of only has six oxen pulling it. I guess we can have a good laugh playing "mine is bigger than yours!" But I certainly understand why you added more oxen as I always felt, when it comes to toy soldiers, the more the better!! There is something about mass formations that catches ones attention, when ones eyes widen in disbelief, a momentary breathlessness is followed by an exclamation of "WOW". It sure feels great to be a kid again. I have certainly had many of those moments here looking at all the great Trophy collections that have been posted, yours included. I hope that you will take the opportunity to pull out those 10 oxen and let us be fortunate enough to feel like kids again. All the best, Lawrence
    JW,
Thanks for the kind words. I do enjoy collecting Trophy's artillery sets. Just managed to get the Naval Gun Team with Oxen today, so I am a happy camper! I spoke with Mike Laeding of Trophy of Texas several years back about the Skoda, but I was buying mostly King & Country at the time. So missed out on that. Fun part comes in searching and finding these sets!! Looking forward to seeing more of your collection. All the best, Lawrence
Wonderful collection! Enjoyed seeing all those Trophy Artillery Sets. Thank you for posting all those photos.

    All the best,
    Lawrence
Thanks for your kind words about my collection and the info about the skoda mortar. I think that is one of the best sets around. I was told once that only about 200 sets were made but that may have been when they were brought back for a limited run. I like your collections very much. Best regards, Tommy
