  • Tommy, that is a great question. I was not sure of the answer. Hope your spring is going well.

    Hi W T Allison II,
Liked very much your sets, congrats.
Please join me and others in the site that like not only to collect but have a special interest in artillery sets. You have a couple of towed artillery sets that would be a great add on to the Artillery fan club.
Look forward to seeing you in the club.
    Tommy,
What do you think of Alexander's Toy Soldiers? I noticed you have the gunboat in your beautiful collection. I looked over the website and the number of items is incredible. I like the boat you have and some of the cavalry. Is it a far cry from Trophy? I also like some of the Little Legion stuff, do you have any? Hope all is well.

    Hi Tommy,
I eagerly await pictures of your Zulu collection. As I have said before I love your Boer War and Egypt and The Sudan sets, outstanding.
    Cheers
    Martyn:)
I do not mean to invade your conversation, but I did post a photo of my Superior Skoda Mortar in one of my albums. Take a look if you would like.

    Hey Guys,
I wish Trophy did a Skoda mortar. That shop in Milwaukee did a remake of a 1970s model from Superior Toy soldiers I think. Really a great model and the figures are great too. I purchased one fron the Toy soldier shop in Milwaukee years ago and will post a photo when I can figure out how. I think its easier to post to my albums. Mr. Allison, your collection is spectacular! a real pleasure to study the photos. Thanks for posting.

    Hi Tommy
Sorry but I don't have either TEK5 or TEK5A, the set shown in my album is the 7th Bengal Native Infantry set#EW8.
    Cheers

I've just browsed through your albums, your collection looks terrific and extremely well displayed. Who says you can't make a diorama with glossy figures? A lot of Trophy (what a fantastic manufacturer, too bad it is gone) and also some old Britains and Hocker from what I can see. Inspiring stuff, thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Paulo
    Tommy,
Saw your Albums and your collection is spectacular! Mike also told me about your collection and being able to see your collection has been an absolute pleasure. Love all the Trophy boats - a real treat to see them all. Please keep adding to your albums! All the best, Lawrence
Tommy, I believe it was part of a set - FW1 which included a dead European soldier (Royal Welsh Fusilier) as well as some other battlefield props such as boxer shield, helmets and rifles. I unfortunately, do not have a complete set. I only have the two casualties. Still trying to fill in some gaps including the complete gate and walls that you have. Always fun looking for this wonderful stuff. All the best, Lawrence
Damien: I emailed Len and told him you would be contacting him. He is going in for his second knee replacement so he may be slow in responding. Tommy
I have a train with Trophy figures in it.
The person who sold it said he bought it from a Trophy dealer.
I presume it was one from Jim.
I thought the Skoda gun came from Milwaukee.
I saw a picture of it it the toy soldier compendium in 1998.
I emailed Len with the new address and am awaiting a reply.
    Keep well
    That is interesting.
Was the company "Metal Shed" by any chance?
They used to do a lovely version of Princep assasinating Archduke Ferdinand.
    Hi Tommy

Thanks for the "heads up" about the AZW sets, I do have the Command set but I am still looking for set# ZS74 (The Only One). It looks like the seller has incorrectly described a set of Royal Irish as a set of 24th Foot, I will send him an email.
    Cheers
    Martyn
Did Len do a Skoda Mortar set?
    Trophy was amazing.
I keep finding out about sets I never knew existed
