I just watched a video on YouTube about the Oradour Sur Glane massacre a few days ago. 2nd SS Panzer did horrific things to the civilians there and no one was spared man, woman, or child.

I think scenes of the village, the ruins are preserved, were the opening for the World At War (great series).
