We are heartbroken to share that Michael Hall, co-founder of Sierra Toy Soldier Company, has passed away.

Michael loved toy soldiers from a young age, and alongside Myszka Hall, he built Sierra Toy Soldier Company from that lifelong passion. He truly cherished our customers and found so much joy in diving into history with all of you.

He will be deeply missed by our entire Sierra Toy Soldier family and community. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for holding Michael and the Hall family in your thoughts during this time.

Holy Crap, that is very sad news. A few of us were reminiscing recently about Mike and his humor. He could be a very funny fella, you just had to get to know him. I always thoroughly enjoyed my dealings with Mike and I always loved to hear his take on things. Very sad start to the New Year. Again, very sorry to hear this.

Very sad. About a year ago we picked up some guys TF didn't have in stock and he said what he always said, "No problem, Cheers, mate."
RIP.

VERY sad news for sure. And yes, his sense of humor was second to none, agreed that you just had to get to know him.

He and I had some great phone conversations and some even better in person ones at Chicago back when it was at the Hyatt, I remember one year I went to visit him in his room, then we went to the bar for a few drinks and a million laughs.

I will always look back at that day/night fondly.

Thanks Mike for being there for me and for talking some sense into me a number of times when I needed to be set straight.

A true icon in this hobby from a dealer perspective.

"Cheers Mate"..................:(.

So sorry to hear this. When I started collecting large scale toy soldiers I started buying them at Sierra and for the most part always have out of loyalty. Never had one issue with them. RIP Mike.

Very sad. Had a lot of contact with Mike in the early years of my collecting and always felt very comfortable dealing with him. He was a credit to the hobby. My condolences go out to his family. Robin.

Sad news indeed yesterday. But if you talked to Mike much, "ah, it's all rubbish!"
Can't forget to remember the good times as well!

Our good friend is gone, had the pleasure dealing with Mike over the years and last email from him was in late November, always responded
A fabulous sincere person to deal, condolences to family and friends

Just seen this thread and wanted to convey my surprise and sadness at Mike's passing. We had some great "banter" over the years. Shared a stand at London Shows and always had a good catch up at the Chicago Shows.
He and Myzcka were cornerstones in the hobby. Sadly missed and condolences to all of the "Sierra" family. Clive

I saw this on Sierra's Facebook page yesterday and was sad to see it. Sierra supplied my first order when I began seriously collecting years ago, and I still order from them often. Rest in peace and glory, Mike.
