US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (3 Viewers)

George it seems like everything done in politics today and always has the flavor of quid pro quo...

and in the grand scheme of things...$250 million is not a lot of money...as strange as that sounds...

I have not researched this enough to comment any more than that...but I am sympathetic towards Israel...just my opinion...

I would hate to exist/live in Israel in such close proximity to Iran...coupled with anti-sematic terrorists surrounding me while I have my back to the Mediterranean Sea...
And just like that, the Dow is up 700 points.............the markets are driven by fear and greed, that's for sure..............a positive headline and they pop, a negative one and they tank.

One thing that was mentioned; oil is not going to drop below 65.00 a barrel anytime soon, 3.00 plus per gallon prices are here for awhile.

dang skippy...
that is how the market works...
good news is good...
bad news is bad...
one bad statement can send it crashing...

and I don't mind paying a little extra for gas for a while if something constructive comes out of this...
as long as the supply doesn't run out...I can hang in there...

Fiscal conservatism is the only reason I have ever voted the other way in my life.
Not trying to start a fight please.

Unfortunately this concept doesn't exist in either side or party. They both, when in power, spend as much as they can. I am a fiscal conservative who has been continuously disappointed my entire adult voting life.

Yeah. Giving someone 4-8 years to be God and expecting him/her to balance the books rather than make a grand gesture to aggrandize themselves is probably asking for trouble. Too bad.
Still glad to be living in a Democracy,

I can't answer the strategy, etc. Typically, if Israel is involved, it is done with precision. It looks like today there were some sort of talks that are having a positive effect on the markets and oil prices are already plunging which should help in a few months time. (Gas prices here go up over the Summer regardless of oil price per barrel as demand rises).

Boots on the ground would be ill advised in today's world for a myriad of reasons. I can guarantee that if 50% agree with the strikes now, a boots on the ground would reduce that to 10%. Just not worth it as you can't fight the war you need to fight. As my late Grandfather said many times before his passing and as a WW2 veteran - people may rework history and condemn people like General Patton, but they knew how to wage a war - ie total war. That is impossible with today's press coverage. By definition war is horrid, modern thoughts do not have the stomach for what would be necessary. And to illustrate my point - look at the aftermath of Gaza, forget the fact that this area has waged terror wars for 50 years or more, look at the outpouring (misplaced in my opinion) of sympathy.

Tom.
The "Talks" have been huge, on public display psyops, with President Trump barely able to control himself laughing, setting one lot of Clerics /IRGC against another lot of Clerics /IRGC and it's been working since they trust each other so little, that they have been running round protecting their own arses rather than concentrating on the their own responces. A nice example of Taqiyya being used back on the Islamists in Iran.

I think in a clip I just saw of Pres Trump speaking with the MSM, he seemed to be hinting at the Son of the former Shah, Crown Prince Reza Pahlevi, who the msm was totally not focused on, as they are still only thinking in the way of Ayatollahs, maybe because of President Trumps previous for the public, thoughts.

Those big traders have a hair trigger to be sure. I might if I had that much on the line as well. Still, that's Capitalism. I can't complain. "Greed" works until too few people have too much power, even above the Law. "Altruism" works until a gov't starts demanding that everyone pays for a great collection for the poor that the gov't just keeps for itself and friends or wastes. Just another opinion.
Israel should keep its status as good-guy. It's worth the trouble.
Again, IMHO, fiscal conservatism is the path to victory in my little town.
Best of All to All and remember that we are important as individuals, not just as political pieces on a game board.

This is straight off Fox News Network…

"I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo spoke with Trump shortly after the post, and Trump stressed, "Iran wants to make a deal badly."

Iranian state television is denying that any negotiations are underway, but Trump rejected that reporting to Bartiromo, saying peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had spoken with their counterparts Sunday night.

I’m sorry...I know this is going to make some people mad...but I’m not believing a word of this…

I have heard this story before with Russia for 1 ½ years that the Ukraine/Russia war is almost resolved...hinging on just a few minor points of agreement...where Trump has said he is in negotiations with Putin and Russia denies they are even talking…

“Iran wants to make a deal badly”….same old story he fed me about Russia...

I hope I’m wrong...but I’m not buying what Trump is saying at all...

He said Iran had 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz "or else" he'll light up their power plants, less than 24 hours later, he's saying they are in negotiations.

IMO, that sort of makes sense, he threatened to light them up, so now they are talking, the markets rebounded and the price of crude oil dropped.

He said they have 5 days to make a deal "or else" which will be Friday night, after the markets close.

All you have to do once again is follow the money.

The part I don't get is we get what, 1% of our oil from the middle east; if that is the case, why did our gas prices go up about 1.00 a gallon here in MA in four weeks...............oh, I get it; that's the 1% that we import.

Between the tariffs and the war, I've never seen such market manipulation before in my life.

I'm better off burying my money in mayonnaise jars in the back yard vs playing the market, it's too unstable for my taste, your milage may vary.

Price of gas nationally is at about 3.96 a gallon, in 12 states it's over 4.00 a gallon, it's over 5.00 in CA (shocking).

News reports are we've ramped up oil production in the US, yet prices keep climbing.

Ok then.

George...don't tell people where you're hiding your money...;)

Oil is a traded globally, which I'm told takes no notice of whether the oil is produced in Texas or Saudi.

I have a question as to why the $100 a barrel is always the benchmark as inflation has cut into that $100 over the last fifteen years or so to where it has lost about half its original value ?

I think I can answer the five day deadline, question, with it running out on Friday, not just close of markets, but two and a half thousand Marines are due to arrive in the area then on the USS Tripoli and Kharg island is where 90% or so of the oil produced in Iran is exported from, due to it being a deepwater port, suitable for Tankers to load from and I would assume, a very attractive target to seize to put pressure on the regime.

All those years I did north of 20 toy soldier shows a year, my mattress got pretty lumpy................that ship has sailed, it's on to Ebay and Facebook.
The key to any business is to not only stay up with trends but more importantly, being ahead of them, the only thing constant in business/in life is change.

COVID was a complete game changer whether people want to admit it or not.

The Iranian people are not happy at all if Trump is talking to the regime. Don't betray them Trump!

Even if a ceasefire was agreed tonight, with so many oil and gas wells shut down, things won't get back to business as usual overnight as from what I understand the pressure drops when shutdown and to built pressure up again takes weeks or longer, plus you have the facilities that were attacked, which they're saying at the moment could take several years to get back on-line.
And why bother doing all that, if you have the same fanatical regime in place, itching to get back to causing death and destruction around the world.

A tricky situation for sure, left unfinished will lead to more of the same in years to come, but with fanatics like this, you have to be very careful of what traps they have in place.
I wouldn't put it past the regime to have ensured the destruction of Irans oil facilities if they were to fall, just so that successors wouldn't benefit.

So currently more than 3500x ships are currently 'anchored' waiting for the Straits of Hormoz to reopen.

Tentative estimates give at least 4 to 6 weeks to clear the back-log, unless of course you decide to pay for your oil in 'Yuan' as specified by Iran, opposed to the US petrol-dollar.

China, India and now Japan flagged oil tankers are reportedly taking full advantage of the 'Yuan' offer........

I think Trumps crew have been chatting to the regime the whole time. Its all smoke & mirrors.......his true allegiance is to his financial backers who put him in the top job.......as they say follow the money......
