    The Metal Shed

I was particularly impressed with the catapult Kingfisher on battleship turret.

    The Metal Shed

Bruce Hebron does some beautiful hand made vehicles and aircraft. I don't personally own any, myself but, I have seen his table at shows on the west coast and have always wanted to get one. Has anyone else here picked up any of his work? http://www.remsonco.com/webalbums/metalshed/Album1.htm...

Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark

I would imagine that the license would make the figures too cost prohibitive.

    Don't we have enough Tigers?

I have had an epiphony! I think the next K&C AK armor piece should be a knocked out PzIII or IV with the Tommies charging by (like the famous photo) and the tank will also be a music box that plays Lily Marlene. Wouldn't that be cool?

    Arnhem Prisoners

Though it IS titled Arnhem, I think Andy needs to expand the line to include all of Market Garden. Appropriate SS units, 82nd, 101st and Polish paras, 30th Corps. Since the US paras changed uniforms from the D-Day Invasion to the newer M-43 version for OMG so, it's not appropriate to use D-Day...

    US GI's in North Africa

The only thing to distinguish a NA GI from just about any other theater is the patch. As long as their wearing the M-41 jackets and OG wool uniforms.

    Don't we have enough Tigers?

Face it fellers, the BIG CATS sell, the other stuff is fine for the guys who count rivets and look at markings but, the Tiger has the broader appeal to those types plus the ordinary more casual collector. Remember, it's a business and what sells best, gets made most.

Got a call from Andy this morning . . .

What is the potential downside for existing K&C dealers in the US? King's X gets exclusives that all other dealers can't get, K&C items will get shipped to King's X via shipping container and then to other US dealers, who will have to absorb shipping costs that King's X will not, new items will...

    WW1 Thoughts

Well, K&C seems to be doing very early war figures. In keeping with that theme, the Americans should reflect Black Jack Pershings pursuit of Pancho Villa into northern Mexico. They could do Patton (don't forget to get the license this time) and many other cool subjects. True, not technically WWI...

    sets or single figures

Andy seems to be trying to strike a balance (at least in the WWII range) between sets and individual figures. Some things absolutely have to be done as sets, artillery crews etc... In sets, there tend to be a couple of very desirable figs and a couple that you couldn't give away but, that may be...

    New Conte Zulus

If someone doesn't ruin the collectibility of some of the sets, the others aren't AS collectible. The Hinchcliffe Zulu War figures are really nice figures. I recall a diorama that someone did of Isandlawana, of the famous painting of the 24th Foot about to be overrun. The guy used a couple of...

    Vietnam Era plastics

There are, of course, the Toy Story armymen who are armed w/M-16s in 54mm. They are less than perfect but, can be modified by the craftier among us to be passible fare. ESCI/ERTL did 1/72 Viet Nam figures from both sides that are very well done. It has always been a very unpopular era, generally...

    Changing Scales

Talking scale to Andy is like talking bananas to a monkey, they're all the same. That being overly simplistic but, essentially accurate. K&C has grown and shrunk in scale from its very beginning. It has to do with Andy's way of seeing the world and the different sculptors that have been used...

    New packaging again.....

nmrocks, by your reconning, we may as well just throw dirt on them as, there won't be enyone left to pay premium prices for this stuff so, what matter production numbers. Then, without sufficient numbers, how can the collector base increase? Future value will depend on the number of sets lost...

    New packaging again.....

I have seen plenty of damaged figures come out of K&C boxes since I first came across them over 10 years ago. Broken pieces, chipped paint (sometimes due to packaging, sometimes due to poor quality control). Andy may have to adjust again but, damaged pieces are nothing new in this business.

    New packaging again.....

I think I'll add my opinion here, since it will be at odds with everyone else. I'm sure that the reason for the change is economy. It is probably less expensive to use the plastic vacuuformed divets than have some person with a razor knife cut each and every piece of foam. It is less labor...
