Still In King & Country's Corner!

Doing a quick check of my K&C wantlist I have 219 items listed! :D My collection includes AWI, ACW, WW1, WW2 and the odd set from other eras as well. K&C have a certain artistic style that I'm drawn to, and the detail has constantly improved. I also like the gritty feel of the Figarti...

Still In King & Country's Corner!

Tend to be a bit of a detail nut myself, which is the draw of the Figarti pieces, but I'm also a little obsessive about QC, especially at the price. The recent pieces are a significant improvement over previous Figarti releases. If they could get decals straight, parts attached...

Still In King & Country's Corner!

Love what Figarti has been doing with their vehicles of late, but I have to agree quality control has killed it for me. My Firefly had a misaligned barrel and the replacement had decals at various angles. The 8th Priest had the fender glued in at an angle so it was touching the gears and off...

A Priest has arrived at my doorstep

The product has improved considerably from some of the early releases, so I think if they nail down quality control everything would fall in line. The packaging/breakage issue seems to have gone away with the new inserts, as well as using brass instead of resin for some of the fragile detail...

A Priest has arrived at my doorstep

Received mine yesterday, and the weathering didn't bother me at all. Nice detailed piece, but the fender on mine is out of whack (looked odd from the front and upon inspection is touching the front sprocket). Looks like it was glued in place sloppily and out of alignment compared to the other...

    Retired List

Hi Terry, The gaps you've found in the database are likely due to me not having a good sized image to add. If you have photos of some of the missing items I would greatly appreciate them! I've been trying to keep the photos at a consistant size across the board so as to have a standard to...

    Retired List

Hi Mark, Thanks for the comments. Please feel free to add this to your favorites and access it as needed. I developed it to give me quick access to the data (works great from a phone even I've found) without a lot of formatting/fuss. Also allowed me to keep my database and programming skills...

    Retired List

My little K&C series tracking site has information on released and retired dates if it is of any help. With a quick page to query the data by month I could generate a monthly released/retired list, as the data is all there (well, going back to 2002/2003 for the series I input). Can be accessed...

Problem of multiple versions not being announced simultaneously

I think the items are selling quickly at the moment because they are items people have been wanting for awhile (88mm, Firefly, etc.). Looking at some other items (Grant/Lee, M31 Recovery Vehicle, Storch(s), etc.) they aren't moving as quickly, so 100 probably is a good number. If those items...

Problem of multiple versions not being announced simultaneously

Unfortunately with the last release (winter 88 and firefly) a dealer was putting them up on eBay and getting above retail. I'm okay missing out if I don't have the funds, or just miss the boat to other collectors, but that really ticks me off.

    Figarti and Fragility

Hi Terry, Had to do this with one of my HB Panthers as well. I just ended up grabbing the barrel with as much of my palm/hand as I could, then slowly bent it back towards straight, while trying to put counter pressure on other parts so as not to bend at an odd angle, or worse get breakage...

    Figarti and Fragility

Hi Frank, The barrel is straight, but it appears to have been attached at an angle. Looking from the sides you wouldn't see it necessarily, but from the front and top you definitely see it veering off to one side. It was replaced by my vendor, and now all is good. The replacement was...

    PRE-SHOW RELEASE - Tropical 88 & Prime Mover

Very nice! Glad I passed on the winter one, as I prefer AK. Pre-order requested as well. -Rich

    SdKfz 251/22

Thanks for the run down on the paint schemes used late in the war. Very useful. What color is the base coat for the BBG022 white washed version of the SdKfz 251/22? Looks like an early war German grey, but I can't tell 100% from the photos (eyes going...). Just wondering if the paint scheme...

Dirt Road Through The Ardennes - 1940

With that new Panzer III in the AK line I'm hoping that a grey FOB variation isn't far behind. Worked for the Stug and Panzer IV!

    SdKfz 251/22

Hi Terry, Which model did you get? I'm assuming from the link to K&C's website you picked up the 3 color camo version vs. the winter white wash. The 3 color camo is good for what battles/dioramas (last defence of Berlin?), as I believe the discussion in other threads mentioned this variation...

Question About DAK Panzer IV Ausf. F-2

I've been kicking around whether or not to get this tank (AK is probably my favorite line), but was concerned about the packing and quality. For those who have purchased this vehicle, was the packing decent? How about the quality? I had tried a winter panzer IV awhile back, but it came with...

    Figarti and Fragility

Thanks Terry, I appreciate it. Not seeming to have much luck with Figarti. First vehicle I tried awhile back was the Winter Panzer IV, but it came with broken pieces and packing material stuck to the glue on the bottom of the vehicles and on the tracks. Now a bent barrel. :( The packing is...

    Figarti and Fragility

Noticed on my Firefly that the gun barrel is not straight (looking down from above with the turret lined up in the center the barrel veers to the right pretty noticeably). Seems like it was glued/attached off center, and I don't think it can be bent (nor would it be smart to try it!). Anyone...
