Figarti and Fragility (2 Viewers)

My experience with Figarti, can be summed up with 1 model. The **M3** Lee, The first One came with the paint flaking Off, One of the hatches was broken, And the figure did not fit into the top hatch, So it was replaced by the same tank, tracks broken into 3 pieces. Thanks To Treefrog (specially Mandi), that understood That for such a high priced item,it should come perfectly made, with nothing needed to be fixed ( I ended up just, giving up. got a store credit, got the Bunker and the LCA. From K&C). But with the Firefly, I just have to give Figarti. Another chance(I am hoping, hope, Hope), That I will not get let down once again.

Good luck, Spartan. I am not privy to the past items but - issues aside - the ones I have are unmatched. I contemplated the Firefly - I wanted it badly though it isn't in my AO due to budget - and it looks fantastic.

I have the figarti V2 (Black and white version) and apart from scale issues the paint is flaking of it was like that when i got it but with the hassles i would have returning it to the shop of purchase the postage involved and price would be a nightmare. My refueling vehicle came with back door broken same again so im hoping my 88,prime-mover and Storch are all ok....

Actually with the problems I had, I was Only out 17.00 dollars (Treefrog paid for return postage for one)(its better than being stuck with something, that will be A constant reminder, That I paid Almost $300.00 for something that needed fixing to be acceptable in my eyes).
But with The firefly (knock on wood mind you), I paid for a 2 day shipping, In hopes that the faster it gets to me. The less chance of anything happening to it.
Again. I have My fingers crossed and Hoping.
And if everything goes well, I have the PRIEST, on reserve for September.

Do not attempt to correct it under any circumstances! It will will snape like a saltine. My Panzer IV (and from what I understand all of them) rocks back and forth. I need to shim one of the tracks so the figures don't fall off.

I agree - I started to investigate it but found, due to its composition, it was ill advised. I have since repacked it due to space but I wonder - is the stabilizer that is unable to be stowed at a 90 degree angle opposite to the one which requires the box? I realize it is part of the accurate detail that cause that and but it just occurred to me.

Still, a fantastic piece.

The promo photos show a large brown box under both stabilizers. As only 1 brown box comes with the 88, the second box has to come from the prime mover.

The stabilizer that is extended in the box is so the gun can be packed pointing straight ahead. If you turn the gun so the seat is out of the way, the stabilizer can be raised just like the other one.

The Firefly is solidly built with no tiny, moving photo etched parts so it should be OK - mine was.

Thats all great to hear Terry, I really do want to start buying Figarti's. Thats why I am trying again. And with the price and all, at5 least with me its the durability that counts. Not on how limited edition it is. i can have a rare one out of a hundred edition, but if I have to fix/ glue something that costs close to $300.00 dollars then its not worth it. I need it to be perfect.

Noticed on my Firefly that the gun barrel is not straight (looking down from above with the turret lined up in the center the barrel veers to the right pretty noticeably). Seems like it was glued/attached off center, and I don't think it can be bent (nor would it be smart to try it!). Anyone else have issues in this manner? Very nice model, but this is bugging me.

Thanks, -Rich

No, mine is straight.

Thanks Terry, I appreciate it. Not seeming to have much luck with Figarti. First vehicle I tried awhile back was the Winter Panzer IV, but it came with broken pieces and packing material stuck to the glue on the bottom of the vehicles and on the tracks. Now a bent barrel. :( The packing is definitely much better though with this latest release.

I completely agree spartan71. For the price of a Figarti I want nothing less than perfection.

You made me relook mine and thankfully the barrel was fine.:)

One thing Right from the start, that attracted me to figarti was their airplanes It is great looking, and quite possibly the Centerpiece of any collection, a stretch in the budget. But attainable.
But because of the fragility of some if not most of their products, How can I or anyone risk buying it. This is a direct buy, coming from China. How is anyone going to return it, if anything is wrong with it??
And with me the dishearten, about them. started with paint flaking off(M3Lee) Which a sealant (testors dull coat, as an example) 5 to ten cents worth would have made it perfect. The miniature not fitting in the turret I would have lived with(minor), The hatch falling off (superglue, Which they should have had the strongest one, and again 5 cents worth, would have done its purpose), but still minor. But Figarti, has to understand is, Little minor things, when it accumulates. Becomes big.
So maybe it is Us collectors at fault, Because we shrug/ accept the minor faults in their products. We as collectors need to make Figarti, Responsible for all their products, And demand Products, That we do not have to fix. For the price that we pay we should have that.

I just got an email from Rick, Which is extremely nice!! Because He actually Reads the posts. And responds to them. And Again, I really would love to have all Figarti Products. The Figures themselves are the top of the line. Its the bigger ones that Just needs something. And because of that, I do voice my opinion, On it. Because One day soon, There will not be anymore complaints. Just praises. Because they have done their job, and us as consumers. Have done ours. To make it as perfect as it can be. AGAIN MY PRAISES TO YOU RICK. FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THE FORUM. THANK YOU!!

I think the packaging on the Firefly is some of the best I've seen. The materials protects the materials but doesn't suffocate it. I think Figarti may have conquered the packaging problems. Hats off to the Figarti team.

Thank you.......Spartan and Rick......This is encouraging to know that Figarti is listening to their customers and addressing fragility issues......This can only make for a win/win situation for both customers and manufacturers.......Communication Works.......

I Just received My firefly tank, And It does Look Great, and It arrived And IN Perfect shape!!. At least for this one, The 3 layer packaging. Did extremely well. The Product box, And its contents. Perfect. That says a lot because the shipping box (outer box), Had some dented/ crushed corners. But the product, It survived going through the UPS system(I had it shipped, by 2 day shipping, I think it helped). So my order For next months, Releases(Priest and The sherman with fording stacks) stays in place, And will keep on buying(the less than 300 dollars releases, until I get one that is broken)(then that will be the signal to myself to stop)So Figarti, As I said I love to get most of your releases, And through the coming months, will do so until something falters.
A critic yesterday,A fan today!! And wants to be the Biggest fan. And the ball is in your court. AND THANKS FOR IMPROVING YOUR PACKAGING. It shows that You care!!

Firefly, prime mover, and 88 arrived today. First 2 ok. The 88 had a couple parts broken off but should be easily fixable. Packaging is greatly improved and I would not be afraid to buy from them again
