Diorama of Indian Village about to be attacked

WOW!!! A glass display case that is 70 inches long plus x 23.5 inches deep. Totally brilliant idea of using a dry bakery display case (googling frenzy as I type).

    44th Regiment of Foot

http://www.britishbattles.com/most-massacred.htm From the British Battles Page, Short Write Up Found in the Link Above. Add to the Losses Ticonderoga: Abercromby vs. Montcalm in 1758. But at least they won a few as well: First Siege of Fort William Henry, March 1757 (Very Snowshoes Like...

Diorama of Indian Village about to be attacked

Welcome. Very nicely done indeed. I really like what you did with the walls, having two arches of walls was a very nice touch and adds depths. Beautiful work all around. Your set-up begs questions though. What are the dimensions of what appears to be converted fish tank? With two...

    Xmas present

Carlo, On those guns, what is the thickness of the barrel at the fuse vent? And what is the length from the base ring (large ring behind the fuse vent) to the end of the muzzle? Thanks, Ken

Regiment de La Sarre, Heading to Ticonderoga - French Indian War

Someone asked "Why two regimental flags?" When deployed on a broad front of several regiments, as at Quebec or Ticonderoga, one regimental flag would be placed at each end of the regiments position on the front --- one to the far left and one to the far right of the position --- identical...

    Waterloo 1815

Utterly Brilliant Diorama!!! Very smart layout and display. The table widths allow one to easily reach while the wrapping of the tables in a semi-circle greatly adds to the display area. Wonderful mix of various manufacturers, not wedded to a single source. The groundwork is sensational and...

Regiment de La Sarre, Heading to Ticonderoga - French Indian War

For clarification. there are 40 plus different figure sculptures, not counting horses, mules or the wagon. As it regards, marching figures with muskets on their shoulders, there are 10 different figures. As it regards mirrors, there is only 1 ^&grin.

    Hussar at BoM !!!

Hello All, This post is a tad long and the explanation is convoluted, but in the end the logic is so compelling and flawless that I feel free to drag this out much more than is necessary. The Monongahela series released by John Jenkins suffers from having very few officer releases and in my...

    Matte to Glossy

Ken, Your JJD repaint of the Dragoon is simply gorgeous. If I am not mistaken, the horse was originally brown, then repainted to black and then glossed.

    Matte to Glossy

Hi Guys, I am thinking about doing the gloss conversion on some old K&C pieces, so I have a question. When do this conversion is the gloss applied with a brush or is it applied in a air spray or can you find the gloss in as an aerosol? Thinking of using the Tamiya Acrylic Clear X - 22. Do...

New Releases For December 2015 -- The Eighteenth Century

Officers and a Corporal. I would like to see at least 2 officers - Major/Captain and younger subaltern (Lieutenant/Ensign). If you read the orderly books from Braddock's expedition, you can see patterns of command and use. For a Corporal, 6-8 men is typical. For a Sergeant, often around...
