Repaints (StrumTiger & Marder III) by people you know

The first TCS Tiger 1 in 2009 was 1/30 scale. Starting with the Stug the scale increased to 1/28; which works very realistically with TCS, TG and K&C figures. I have the TCS Stug, Jagdpanther and Kingtiger in my collection and they all measure a consistent 1/28 scale.

    Figarti Panther

My intention was not to rivet count; but to state the obvious superiority of the Figarti Kingtiger over other 1/30 scale models. I would like to purchase one; could you please provide price and delivery time? I am sure many are interested and this information would be very helpful.

    Real or fake?

You may wish to consider when criticizing Y-Weido, that many figures on his Ebay site are clearly labeled as pre owned! Pre owned figures could have been purchased on the secondary market or are consignment pieces. Many TG and K&C pieces are labeld as pre owned, including the Dickens figures...

    Real or fake?

I find the eagle design KT is superior in detail and quality to the TCS an K&C KTs. The ED KT is more accurate than the FL KT. The Ideler is correctly positioned and the bevel is present on the lower turret side. Do you own an ED KT?

    Real or fake?

Y-Weido is a retailer and is affiliated with a manufacturer. I presume he sources his products the same way any retailer does via purchases from the manufacturer. Since many Toy Soldier products are contracted to China for manufacture, I would expect they can be sourced direct from the...

    Figarti Panther

No contest between FL and Figarti. The Figarti KT has the turret bevel that is missing on the FL KT and the Figarti Idler is correctly located. Basic things; but you either get it right or not. What is price and delivery on the Figarti KT?

    Real or fake?

I am aware of instances with contract manufacturers in China, where product prototypes were made and rejected for a variety of reasons. The rejected prototypes were than sold to recoup the production cost. I do not see this practice as illegitimate. Copying is not a factor in these instances...

    Onager

Historically Catapults used either a Torsion Spring or a Bow; not both. You are correct in your assessment that they could not operate together efficiently, if at all. The counter weight Trebuchet was superior to the Catapult/Manganol and replaced it in the 13 century. The Trebuchet used a...

    Real or fake?

I think Y-Weido is being defamed in error. Weido is affiliated with Eagle Design which is a toy soldier manufacturer in China. The eagle Design Panzers are original products, not copies. Country Honor Toy Soldiers are also present on Weido's Ebay site and many of these products are original too...

    Plugging My Stug!

Great photos of an iconic Panzer. The Saukopf Mantlet is very well done IMO. The Kronprinz Panzer Kommander is a perfect fit.

    Onager

The Torsion Spring was the energy storage means for both the Onager; which used one spring and the Ballista; which used two springs. The Onager was like a Howitzer with a high trajectory. The Ballista had a flat trajectory. The Onager was a simplification of the Ballista and was introduced in...

    Onager

I find my Figaeti Panzer collection is the equal of any FL Panzer. Please note I praised the accuracy of the FL Skorpion and Trebuchet. I cannot understand how the FL Roman Onager could have so many errors. The Roman Onager I posted a photo of is a Thomas Gunn product and they did their research...

    Onager

I prefer models to toys; but if a model of something I am interested in is not available than I will modify a toy to fill the roll as I did with the Playmobil Roman ship. I build Roman fortifications, temples and triumphal arches using Exin blocks; which are toys that can be adapted to realistic...

    Onager

Historical accuracy in a model is important. A model that is inaccurate is a toy and should be priced accordingly IMO.

    Modified CS M113 "Three-Three Bravo"

Excellent modification of the TCS M113. Very realistic and great photos. Very good weathering too. The figures are correct to scale IMO. A morter carrier would be another modification taking advantage of the detailed interior.

    Onager

The Roman Onager in the second photo was designed by Thomas Gunn. Y-weido has one posted on his Ebay site for $60.00. The design is similar to the working model built by Major General Erwin Schramm a Prussian Artillery officer and displayed at the Saalburg Roman Fortress near Weisbaden Germany...

    Onager

Roman Onagers utilized a sling not a cup to hold the shot. A sling increased the range by 1/3. Bows were not used on Roman Onagers. A torsion spring was the source of power. The second photo shows a currently available 1/30 scale Roman Onager that in the most accurate model produced to date IMO.

    Cs00993 m113

The TCS M113 with interior detail makes it superior for diorama applications IMO. TCS should consider making an Australian fire support track; which utilized the Saladin armored car turret.

    Cs00993 m113

The top of an M113 is as high or higher than a standing man wearing a helmet. The K&C M113 is too low for the figures. The TCS M113 is about correct in relation to 65mm (1/28) figures. The height of an M113 is cited as 2.5 meters; but that figure includes the M2 MG.

    Figarti Panther

Great looking KT. Nice to see Figarti got all the derails correct; like the bevel on the lower turret side and the position of the idler! I cannot understand how other manufacturers could omit such details. Price and contact information would be helpful. I guess Figarti has become a custom house!
