Im a young collector!!!! AND I know lots of history!

I'm also a young collector, just turned 18. I was hooked ever since I was a kid, watching movies like Zulu, Hell is for Heroes, A Bridge too Far, Son of the Morning Star, and many more. I'm looking into a military cadet program next year so I may be forced to take a break from the hobby, but...

    Inappropriate content in Caen

I respect all of your opinions, they raise some very valid points but I would like to address a few of my own as well. We see many LAH dioramas that could be constituted as offensive; they depict the Third Reich at its peak, replete with Nazi personalities, marching SS troops, etc. I work in a...

If King & Country released a set of 101st Airborne to go along with its Market Garden series (with the green M43 uniforms), would you be interested? Best Regards, Mike

Most Common Mistakes in World War II Movies

Personally I couldn't stand Battle of the Bulge, even when I saw it back when I was a kid I still knew that it was nowhere near accurate. The one redeeming feature was the Waffen SS tank commander's character but even that couldn't redeem a terrible movie. For a good Bulge movie, watch Saints &...

Most Common Mistakes in World War II Movies

Let's start off with a few basic ones: 1. Most German and U.S. Armored vehicles are incorrect for the era, repainted M60 Patton Tanks standing in for Panzers, Tigers, and Shermans in many older films such as Patton, Battle of the Bulge, etc. 2. German soldiers are almost always seen in grey...

What Zulu War range to collect?

Any ideas on what's the best Zulu war range to collect? I like Conte's new releases, but they are a little on the pricey side. Best Regards, Mike

    Why is Andy getting censured?

My personal opinion is that we are all unwitting pawns in a vast conspiracy to destroy the toy soldier hobby in order to benefit the action figure industry. Starting in the 1960s, action figure producers such as GI Joe and Dragon have been in conflict with ever-increasing numbers of collectors...

Would you be interested if King & Country released movie Tie-in figures?

I seem to remember King's X selling several figures based on John Ford's "Cavalry" trilogy, I believe John Wayne's Captain, the Colonel from Fort Apache, and the overweight Sergeant from Fort Apache. Best Regards, Mike

Would you be interested if King & Country released movie Tie-in figures?

I'd say any movie that a majority of collectors really enjoy/use as inspiration. Movies that come to mind would be The Patriot, Zulu, SPR, BOB, Braveheart, Gladiator, etc. Just add a few recognizable character pieces to the existing K&C series, I think it would be a way to bring in movie fans...

Would you be interested if King & Country released movie Tie-in figures?

Obviously, the copyright would be an issue but I've seen action figures for characters in BOB and SPR, so I'd imagine it would still be workable. Also, if it was cost prohibitive, how did Conte manage to produce their ranges? ^&confuse Best Regards, Mike
