Ok guys, a week to go until the 5th issue of Dispatches from the year two thousand and twelve , so what are we hoping for, expecting, doing a rain dance, checking tea leaves , crossing fingers etc etc . Me, well I'm a lucky boy as I'm looking forward to the new Brit footsloggers making their way into the Bocage and also the newspaper guy (who actually I don't think has been officially announced yet has he?). So what do you reckon Andy has up his sleeve for us this time? :smile2:

Maybe the 2 new paint schemes for the Albatros, featured in the latest collector..... The Fokker DVII's and ground crew and Boelcke figures should actually be available later in May and I have 2 DVII's on order so could do with a little time in-between WW1 warbird releases though!

Maybe a few RAF releases too. Been waiting a long time for a stretcher set for the RAF Ambulance........ Fire Truck anyone?!

Whatever we get, I'm sure there will be some 'outside the box' sets.....

wow, that time already.I agree the newspaper guy is pretty neat, a must have for me ! For us WWII German armor collectors a Wirbelwind,or tracked flat bed
AA gun set ???

Berlin 38' collectors How about this, done in the same manner as the K&C LAH042/ LAH043 Diorama sets were done !!!!

Wayne mate,
I am hoping that the Lighthorseman behind the Vickers MG that we previewed the master of last year on Andy's visit Downunder will be coming out. One cannot get enough Lighthorsemen. I need a couple of those MG sets to give Fire Support to the Charge.
Cheers Howard

Think we could get are first look at the new Fw 190-D

Dora may get a showing as it sounded like it was done and ready to be shown. Looking forward to seeing what its like as its one of the best aircraft of WWII.

More WWI aircraft I am not sure as three have just been released. maybe the rest of the brit troops including the urinator!!!

long barraled Panzer IV would be welcome
Mitch

I would like to see more facades so that we can build a whole street or square. A typical Ardennes house would be nice as well.
guy:)

Would like to see more canadians, i think it's about time we did. Raf control tower, maybe.

wonder if its time for a 25ILB gun for desert and ETO and similarly, for an 88mm for the same theatres

Mitch, If we were to get another 25pdr I'd love to see one for Normandy too. I have the NA version and its a splendid release, but some Brit artillery for the Normandy campaign would be very welcome^&cool

Rob

Lots of great ideas here. Always look forward to the dispatches. As summer is approaching D-Day releases must be coming and I suspect the theme is Commonwealth troops this year.
Waiting fpr the Normandy Morris Truck
----me too!

---Absolutely, this is a major hole in my collection, it feels like I've been waiting for one forever! This was the backbone of the Panzer divisions and one of the most numerous AFV's the Nazis made.....it needs representation.

----Control tower sounds awesome but it would be HUGE and EXPENSIVE! {eek3} As for Canadians I think most Commonwealth releases could pass for them. Afterall the Poles, Free French, Canadians, etc all used British kit so I think they are all easily substitutable.

I think there was an article in an issue of Collector a couple of issues back, that featured a 1/30 scale Control Tower made by someone that you could order from, name slips me though.

Rob...

Agree there is a lot of artillery that needs to be released

Speaking of artillery, we need for 1914, a French 75mm and L Battery's 13 pounder. A German 210mm would also be welcome.:wink2: -- Al

I'd like a WWII German Ambulance, I prefer the Steyr 640 Kfz.31 with four rear wheels. There are Mercedes, Horch, Phaenomen Granit vehicles too...
