Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

I also have some 'small' 1/30 scale sets, here's some JJD mixed with 'smaller' K & C and TGM sets.

And of course some K & C Command sets in the mix, including one of several Panzer Meyer sets I have/had. And no, that's not dirt on the base of that cabinet, it's rust. My house is between an Estuary and the Beach (Coral Sea), so no shortage of rust around here.

Some more TCS sets, including a Tiger tank...with Wittman. Plus Two King Tigers, the rare 'Porsche' turret version was difficult to get.

View from the doorway showing the 'front' side of the room. Yes ok, there's still an empty display unit in the 'bedroom' section, but I intend to sell it..honest ;)

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Here's a photo from the other end of the room. My hobby space takes up about half of the original single garage, leaving approx 3m x 3m (10' x 10") space that serves as the 3rd bedroom, please note bottom edge of Queen sized bed in pic. Three open shelf display cabinets serve as a room divider...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Another pic of my Hobby Room/3rd Bedroom, this room was originally a single garage measuring approx 6m x 3m (20' x 10'). The cupboard in the corner hides the hot water system, there used be a space between that cabinet and the end cabinet where you could put another fridge or freezer. I don't...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Another cabinet converted for display. I only had to remove the doors, the shelves were strong enough and spacing ok for display use. I obtained a large base from Treefrog a few years back. It used to cover a dining table size Vietnam display in this room, but proved to be to large. I've since...

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

A quick pic of the larger cupboard with doors removed. I adjusted the shelf spacings to improve viewing and added support to the shelves for extra weight of polystone etc.

Display Ideas to make the most of your space.

Lack of display space has always been an issue for collectors. A few years back I converted Two large cabinets into display areas, simply by removing the doors and modifying the shelves where necessary. Here's a photo of the top Two shelves of my largest cabinet that measures 210cm x 100cm x 60...

Mark, WOW that's a terrific display you have built, it must be a decent size to contain an aircraft, can you provide the dimensions.

H&A Road and sidewalk section, any chance this might be released again ?

I like the look of those road and sidewalk sections, would add some variety to my displays that are mostly jungle based.

    Antony and Cleopatra

Hey Victor, you should be able to get some adjustable temp strip leds. All the led downlights in my house have three temp options; 2500k, 4000k or 6000k, the later I only use in my hobby room as they're operating theater bright ha ha

    AIR CRASH IN VIRGINIA

Thank you for your educated input Beaufighter. I note there's already been some temporary restrictions put in place regarding helicopters pending the investigation. However I expect the investigators will find a number of factors that contributed to the accident. The high volume of air traffic...

    Antony and Cleopatra

Victor, if not already done, you may need to Replace the warm yellow (2700k) light with a cool white (4000k). And congrats on your deserved recognition in TSC magazine.

    AIR CRASH IN VIRGINIA

Yes, the helicopter flew into the jets flight path, accepted visual traffic control and increased height from 200' to 350/400' for no apparent reason, seems like case closed. However I don't think the responsibility is 100% the fault of the helicopter pilot. As with most accidents the swiss...
