I bought a winter panzer IV a couple of years ago. Right after I got it the paint started flaking off of the side skirt armor. Then the little loops that are supposed to attach the side skirts to the tank weren't lined up correctly so I tried to carefully bend the side skirt slightly to make it...
I thought about doing mine that way also, but it was a job getting those armored side skirts off without destroying the tank and I didn't even want to think about having to remove the commander's cupola. Pretty sure they were both German add ons.
Andy, Thank you for the nice comment. You are a true gentleman.
p.s. I wasn't kidding with the post I made about being part of the K&C team someday. It truely would be a dream job!
Thanks Mike. Yeah I have those same issues. I think mine is from all of the 1970s wwII movies where all of the German uniforms and vehicles were all in grey. lol
Thanks for the nice comments. I listed this piece on ebay if anyone is interested. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290635240733?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Here is a new K&C custom re-paint that I completed. I didn't have a K&C German tanker with winter gear, so I used a CS figure that I had on hand. What do you guys think?
I would love to see some Pacific War sets such as Japanese soldiers, tanks, Marines are awsome but how about some U.S. "pacific" Army Troops. My grandfather fought with the U.S. Army 24th Infantry "Victory" division. He fought from the beginning at Pearl Harbor to the very end of the war...
He was very happy with the custom. He had done his research and gave me every detail that he wanted included. He seemed to be very proud of his Father.
