Those are stunning! Is there a twelve step program for collecting soldiers?

    New sets

Thanks, Pat. I know I've enjoyed seeing your pictures, as well. Did you notice the Britains 15th Ludhiana Sikhs from 1993 in the foreground? They're the ones with the British flag. That set is a particular favorite of mine. I got it on Ebay a few years ago and would love to find some more...

    New sets

Scott, that is a large, stand up trunk/cabinet with two doors and a drawer that is covered in a "leather" reproduction map. It's just a cheap cabinet that I bought to keep board games (and soldier boxes in) and it is about five feet tall. It's the perfect height to display on.

    New sets

Thanks so much for posting those for me, Jazzeum, although I'm not completely happy with the display. I need more display space (although I'm sure this is a problem for most toy soldier collectors). I have had them in their boxes for almost a year trying to figure out how to display them in...

    New sets

Thanks for the offer. I'll take you up on it, because, I'm with Damian on "making a photo album." Hey, we can't all be computer gurus, can we? Thanks again, and I'll send you a message.

    New sets

Hi, Pat, Thank you for your interest. I just tried to upload some photos and they are too large (jpgs). Does anyone know how I can convert these so I can post them? Thanks for your help.

    Gertrude Bell

There always have been and there still are some amazing women around. Some of us even collect Delhi Durbar figures ;). I'm definitely adding these to my reading list. I long for the 1980s when so many films were being made about that time period, though. I wonder if any films have ever been...

    New sets

This may not be one of the new sets, but I received the Cutch Spear Bearers today. These guys are beautifully done. I am buying Beau Geste Delhi Durbars to enhance my Britain collection and I try to select sets that are completely different (color and otherwise) than anything done by Britains...

Imperial Royal Field Artillery. Zulu War

Those are magnificent. Thanks for the links. That's all I need! Something more to covet...

Imperial Royal Field Artillery. Zulu War

Believe me, it would be a CHUNK of cash and trade because yours are worth lots more than mine. I only have the Rorke's Drift Zulus Firing #00146 and the 24th Foot, South Whales Borderers #00145 from Britain (along with a sandbag piece that I place in front of the firing Brits that I think I got...

Imperial Royal Field Artillery. Zulu War

Hi, KV, You mentioned on your Ebay description that there is a lot of excitement in Zulu's in the world of toy soldiers - or something like that. I have some Britain Zulu sets and a tiny, tiny handpainted set (don't know the scale) of Zulus and Brit soldiers that I ordered off of Ebay years...

    Delhi Durbar collection

Hi, Kilted Vampire, Somehow, in the vaults of my memory, I found my password. Your sets have really taken off on Ebay now - someone just passed my $800 bid. I hope someone bids high over your reserve and you get a good price on something that took you so long to collect. I'm thinking your set...

    My Dumbar Collection

I personally like the man being crushed by the circus elephant. You have to admit, they are displayed properly. Thanks for the laughs. My best, Jae

    Delhi Durbar/Indian Army various makes

A little off the subject, but have you seen the original "Four Feathers?" I caught it on cable very late one night and it was one of the most beautiful films. I couldn't believe it was made in the thirties. Great battle scenes, at least to a novice like myself. My best, Jae

    Delhi Durbar/Indian Army various makes

Hey, Dave, I have just finished reading some of the other pages of this thread and I've enjoyed viewing the pics posted by various collectors. This collection - from any of the brands - is just so beautiful. I was also looking at your impressive list of Indian Army units and it made me...

New Beau Geste Durbar Fan Just Jumping In...

Thanks so much, Brad. What strikes me about the photo is how crowded in those elephants are, just like Damian has them displayed (nice photo, Damian... uhh, before you threw them out, that is). The baskets on top look so precarious. If you fell off, I'm sure you would have been crushed...

New Beau Geste Durbar Fan Just Jumping In...

I got it off of Ebay, and I understand some of you don't do Ebay. I believe there is one in an Ebay store but if I recall correctly, it is way too expensive. I am trying to attach that picture of "The most gorgeous of earth's pagents" that is copyrighted 1903 by Underwood and Underwood...

    Delhi Durbar/Indian Army various makes

Thank you, Vamp. I thought about modeling clay but didn't want to damage the piece (I'm no chemist). And I'm sorry. You did ask nicely but I think I'll keep it. Thanks again, Jae

    Delhi Durbar/Indian Army various makes

Does anyone have any tips for stableizing top-heavy pieces when displaying? One of my oxen from the Britain's Silver Gun of Baroda often falls over for no apparent reason. Thank you, Jae
