Hi Guys,

I was researching through some old photographs and adverts from K&C’s early days and thought you might like to see them…
So without further ado… enjoy! Best wishes and happy collecting.

Has anyone ever posted a vietnam parade display????
Mitch

Mitch,

That's a Chinese Army display, issued to commemorate the return of Hong Kong to China. I have never seen a massed display that large although I suspect Lawrence could put one together.

I have some of the items; the backlot buildings are great.

Very nice Andy. A lot of nostalgia for days long passed. Very interesting to see how the figures and planes have evolved over the years. Getting better and better year after year.
guy:smile2:

Brad..

Cheers never saw them before and just saw good morning vietnam on the flyer. They look quite nice in mass display

Still like the backlot buildings. Wish I had a few but they cost a fortune and rarely show up for resale.

It may sound strange but, if I was offered any AFV etc or, a pile of old leaflets I would take the leaflets.
Mitch

Very nice pics, some great items there, love the Hurricane and ME109, thanks for posting Andy.

Now that takes me back my grandad had a few of the older 1990's leaflets! Don't know what ever happened to them? I reamember sitting for hours just flicking through them & the old Britains mags dreaming of what I wanted! Thanks for posting them & bringing back soom great memories Andy!

Hey Andy,

With the strong buying power of Mainlander Chinese these days, I think maybe it's time to reproduce the PLA on parade? Perhaps also the 1997 Black Watch and Royal Marines and Navy in tropical White uniform? A Diorama of the farewell parade in Tamar on 30th June, 1997?

Awesome! Old School!

That Chinese Army display is freaking sweet.

Keep it silly

Interesting to see the old ads, very nostalgic. Its easy to see the improvements in K&C's sculpting and painting that have occured over time. This type of committment to excellence is nice to see. I noticed a Normandy Hanomag....we sure could use one of these for our collections. ^&cool

Do you have a realistic suggestion on how to do that so that, at the same time, K & C remains profitable.

I assume I probably shouldn't hold my breath

Brad

Don't take everything serious. I also complain about the price of gas without regard to how much profit exxon earns. I just wish it was the days when a set of 4 soldiers was $85 and gas was $1.05 a gallon

Nice items,
It also demonstrates the advances in the TS market with detail.

I take little seriously (a big failing). I'm sure we all wish prices were far cheaper than they are now.
