Hi Guys,

Many thanks to my good mates Howard, Obee and Brett for helping me find a few extra camel blankets for the upcoming Aussies in the Imperial Camel Corps.

See photos attached.

Both versions of blanket will be available…

The “A” – “Honest Sir, it fell off the back of a Bedouin!”

and “B” _ “I don’t care if your mother knitted it get the regulation army blanket out of stores!”

Best wishes and happy collecting,

Andy C.

Andy mate,
Well I'll be buttered on both sides. What can I say but many, many thanks. I have been kicking myself for the last two days now for being so negative.
Mates talk to each other, they don't shoot their bloody big mouths off on a Forum. I should have emailed you directly.
I just have too much on my plate at the moment with operations, funeral, wills, etc. and cannot wait to see the end of 2012. Still that is no excuse.
Say G'day to Helen and all the crew at K&C for me and accept my apology for being the biggest sheila in the Land of OZ.
The new Camel Corp guys look outstanding and I hope there are many more to come.
Once again many thanks, Cheers Howard

The sight of Howard in a dress is one I never want to ever see! crikey it's enough make a blokes brain hurt. Anyway well done Andy to give collectors a choice, I will go for the officer with a flash blanket and the two troopers with the regulation blanket....good stuff.....{bravo}}
Wayne.

Hopefully, this trend will permeate into WWII and other ranges.

Andy you are too good to this forum, let's hope you earn some credits to go toward the next attack. Your painting employees are currently saying, no not again, another rush job demanded by the boss. Gordon sounds like he is working in paradise, wonder if could adopt me. Cheers, Robin.

Andy,
Good job, and quick response.

Good to see collectors will have two choices and will be interesting to see which is the most popular.

I think the master painter had a rush job to find those more "uniform" blankets this morning.

Just one point to clarify. Assuming sales are good and if a further production run is done will it be of the coloured or brown versions ?. This may affect buying decisions as one version may sell out well before the other.

Thanks.
Regards
Brett

considering what has been painted these could have been knocked up by Andy or Gordon or, their kids in a few minutes!! Don't think the master painter would have had to be contacted

Mind, as has been said it will be interesting to hear what is more or, seemingly more popular the correct or the incorrect version
Mitch

Andy,

its great to see that you are responding to your customer's wishes and epecially making Howard a 'happy chappy' :)

When he approached me on Friday, I remembered that we had seen the Camel Corps trooper on his camel in a glass case when we all met up in the Australian War Memorial Canberra in 2009 and that I had taken photos as my painting resources.

I therefore sent Howard the image and suggest that the saddle cloths needed to be changed to fit in with the authentic depiction of the fine unit.

You have done us collectors a great service in making an accurate set of figures, and thats the joy of the internet, by being able to correspond with like minded people in our hobby, from collectors, customers, sellers and makes, to provide what's wanted and will be appreciated for years to come.

Well Done

John

PS... I love the new NAP Cavalry ( Les Grenadiers de la Garde Imperiale) and mounted generals too, and the NAP Egypt Camels, especailly thier saddle cloths :) :)

Am I the only one concerned that Andy can reference a Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello movie with such confidence?

"Am I the only one concerned that Andy can reference a Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello movie with such confidence?"

Are you the same person that put Conan on the last time I came round to watch some TV?

Giday Andy,

I really like the new version of the Imperial Camel Corps. I look forward to buying a few and putting them under the Christmas tree.

Kind regards,

Spok

Jack,
Have no idea what the reference is but I must saying you are aging well to spot such a reference{sm4}. Wayne and I probably not watching the kind of movies you do but I think we are now suitably concerned.
Brett

I'm curious, because of the quick turnaround were these two versions always in the pipeline or was the change simply a response to the disatisfaction of some customers? ^&confuse

Howard,

Don't you mean a whinging Sheila. Isn't that what you blokes say down there? :wink2:
