Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the appreciative comments on “Shoo Shoo Baby”….Still on WW2 airplanes and other connected items….
My brother Gordon just completed probably the largest commission he’s ever undertaken – a 471/2 square foot airfield for a K&C collector in Europe. See photos attached.
The actual display measured 2 metres by 2.2 metres and was subdivided into 4 sections, the main hanger was a separate piece as was the Chris Munro (American Model Dockyard) Control Tower, everything else was attached.
The collector also requested that be able to “dress” the airfield as both a British RAF bomber base as well as a U.S. Army Air Force field….Hence the different aircraft and figures.

However, if I ordered something like this and it appeared on the "Home Front" I would be “Coming In On A Wing And A Prayer….” and dodging heavy flak from "Lord Suzinator" aka the wife. I already have many illegal satellite airfields in the compound and I would not want to prompt any impromptu closures while I am in the medical cooler. See you soon.

All ordinance and flak aside, the return of Marc is much more important than any anti-aircraft that may be out there.

And as far as the’ Lord Suzinator’ goes, let her commiserate with “Patty the Punisher” (let’s be honest, I was already afraid of my wife, if she allies with your better half I am done), the time to make that up is called Christmas. Valentine’s Day and Anniversaries…..

Very nice dio , love the detail in the work . Is the RAF tractor towing a cookie bomb on a trolley a KC item or from Corgi mosquito range out of interest ? When I get the room this the diorama I would like to make for my KC planes ,just make it come to life

Holy flipping crap is that awesome. I didn't think it was possible but Gordon's work is actually getting better. This airfield is a masterpiece.

That is one enormous diorama ( 2m by 2m {eek3} ) and it looks incredible! I like both the RAF and the USAAF scenes. The diorama to me highlights how great both lines are. {bravo}} This could easily compare to the "shock and awe" pieces we've seen at the Chicago Show over the years. Those 2 and 4 engine bombers in 1/30/32 scale are huge but awesome.

It looks like the trolley is from the Corgi 1/32 release of the dh98 Moncton Express. I just looked at mine again for comparison. I would be happy if K&C released something like this along with some ladders, tool boxes, tire chocks, etc. In short, a boosted airfield supplies set similar to the TGM set. I would also love a couple of those fighter bunkers.

I thought it was Corgi as well Mac .i sold my Corgi mosquito of because of lack of display space but my friend has them all set up with KC figure which work very well
