Hi friends, i know the "scale" issue has been discussed a million times! But i have a 1/32 "COLD STEEL" 21st century toys Opel Blitz. It is decent looking, good size, and is early war grey.. Do you think it is compatible with FL germans?? It looks like it might work good!

Im trying to see if my OPEL will go OK with FIRST LEGION.. Has nothing to do with K&C..

Well First legion 1/30 & 21'st Century 1/32 scale so what do you think :confused:

Since, in my opinion, F/L looks to be a smallish " 1/30 ", it seems a fair question if they might look alright with a different mfg. vehicles Since scale seems to be in the eye or marketing strategy of any given mfg., a polite answer to a member's honest inquiry would be in order....Michael

Do you think his reply was polite to me in the first place :rolleyes:;)

"Do you think his reply was polite to me in the first place ?"

Based on what I can see his politeness is not an issue.

Oh dear, just another of the continued tit-for-tat problems that have occurred on this and other forums these last 12 months, for Gods sake get a grip, its a "toy soldier" collecting hobby!

It was my bad  Yesterday I got my new FOV Jagdtiger & put some K&C tankers next to it & they made the Jagdtiger look small :eek:I thought daruss would find that helpful but I should of seen he posted in First legion ,I won't reply next time :)

Daruss...

I am of the opinion, for what its worth, that the collector uses whatever he has in his collection with whatever else he has. I know lots of people who use FOV WWII vehicles and match them up with all manufacturers figures. Its up to you not the forum members what you mix and match with. Its nice to get alternative opinions but, remember they should not change what you are happy with doing

If someone "ANYONE"would make a GREY opel in 1/30 we wouldn't have this problem i cant believe it hasn't been made yet............

Hi Gents,

I will tell you that this subject is rehashed over and over again in nearly every makers section. The bottom line for scale is each maker does what they think is correct, some measure from boot heel to top of head others go to the brim of the hat etc etc etc. The only way to really tell on the scale is to get one figure from a maker and compare it to another figure or vehicle. Photos often wont tell the tale due to camera angle or lack of something we can all recognize for scale such as a coin. So for everyones benefit just go ahead and spend a little money on a figure or vehicle and seeif they work together and if they dont resell them on ebay or return them to your dealer. Please do try and keep the discussions civil so the moderators dont have to take action.

In all fairness, there are members, who collect F.O.V. and have F/L figures. Maybe a photo or 2 might resolve questions. Besides, once again this was not a scale issue, but would the " size " of one mfg. be OK with the " size " of another mfg. I do not go by what a mfg. says his idea of what right scale is, but whether vehicles mixed in a collection might look alright next to each other...Michael

Daruss.
Here are a couple of photo comparisons. I took these quickly without the best light so excuse the photo quality. IMO the Opel Blitz is too small for compatibility with the First Legion figures. The difference with the tires on the wheels is minimal and even with the tires is still too small.

Hope this helps.

Daruss, Do you own any First Legion Stalingrad Figures??...If you do I would urge you to purchase their AFV's....That would be your "best match";)...you would not be dissappointed...Nothing else even comes close to FL AFV's for realism.....And they are 1:30th scale;)....

Hi Vezzlof,, i used to have (2) of the German Stalingrad figures.. OK, im convinced FL will not go with the OPEL,, It would be nice if someone made a 1/30 scale Opel!

According to FL's own website, and from the pieces I've seen I believe FL WWII figures would be compatible with the 21st Century Opel. FL expresses its figures are 54mm. Additionally, FL's own armor appeared 1/32 to me. It's way smaller than K&C.
