1/32 scale OPEL BLITZ German compatible? (1 Viewer)

Not So....I have both K/C and First Legion.......First Legion is a bit smaller than K/C....Especially the figures...However First Legion is closer to a realistic 1:30th scale than K/C....The AFV's are definitely 1:30 scale no question....

If someone "ANYONE"would make a GREY opel in 1/30 we wouldn't have this problem i cant believe it hasn't been made yet............

Now I wouldn't normally agree with someone on the losing side of the forthcoming Ashes side :)D;)), but Sir Wayne of Aus has a good point here. I would have thought a Grey Opel along with Grey Kubel and M/bike are all such iconic vehicles of the Wehrmacht that they would be priorities for all producers of German items, sort of your basic German vehicles on which to build up a collection.

For what it's worth, I agree with you and, strangely enough, find myself agreeing with Wayne as well...what is the world coming to??? ;)

We'll have to look into this. Gray vehicles aren't the sexiest in the world but there is something iconic about them that I really like.

I agree about the staple diet of vehicles that form the backbone of the german army and, find it surprising they are not done almost to death in the hobby.

Yes, it always seems like the "basics" are neglected! I still dont understand why no-one is making a standard german half-track in "grey". And im talking about the one with the machine gun in the front, not one of those that have rockets or cannons attached!
But i have to give FL a lot of credit,, It is good to see quality German WWII in grey uniforms!

BTW - it wasn't my itent to cause trouble or rehash the "scale" issue. I was just curious to see if anyone placed some FL figures with that particular 21st CENT. OPEL...

I have noticed more and more requests for the German grey vehicles, I personally think First Legions grey Stug/recon vehicle are dead on,(since I have them) there is something very cool about those sets, we just need a Opel with riders of course or my favorite a grey halftrack to go along with the Stalingrad releases we have now, that would be a cool *** convoy...Sammy

Grey AFV's are only boring if they are painted wrong. Its surprising the number of collectors who want them and manufacturers won't touch it. If you release a tri colour or winter tank then always where applicable release a grey variant even, if it has to be a limited run.

I have painted about 250 in the last 18months for collectors everywhere so, there has to be a market

Is because, IMO, that early stages of the WWII in Europe, is not so popular, maybe is because Americans was not into yet, so people is more like to ask for late stages camouflaged painting

I don't think it got anything to do with the US entering the war , more like the tide of battle started turning in the Allies favour

Thats quite a statement to presume the early war stuff is unpopular because the Americans were not in the war. How does the americans joining the war suddenly make german armour in tri-colour or double camo more interesting or grey armour less interesting?????

YES IT IS, I meant in the world of toy soldiers. the popularity of the west front vs east front has a huge gap between then. so collectors want to be accurate and match up they D-day, bulge an market garden battles armour. I do not remember saw any early grey amours after 1944.

nobody really ask to see Easter front campaigns. The real thing happened in the east....
