It's a toy, it's a model, it's a diorama. Maybe it's "folk art." More pictures of my "Toy" Alamo in progress. "Tip O' the Kepi" to Texan and his sources. :D

It's part stockade from Barszo Treasure Island (one odd piece I found) and part cut dowels and foam. I may change it to all dowels. The project grew beyond the original length of the Barszo piece.

Very nice. Just begs to be played with. Get out the dice and gaming rules..Michael

The thatching on the roof is made from unwound rope. It's glued with "Liquid Nails" to the foam base, painted over with thinned Elmer's Glue, then painted and dry brushed with Acrylic paint. BE SURE TO LET EACH STAGE DRY!

Very clever use of un-wound rope for thatch  Well designed and well made models. :)

Thanks Mike!

I'm switching to painting some toy soldiers for a local gift shop to make a few extra $$$ for a while.

I'm sure you will find someway to take a pop at this comment ;)..........but you have produced a seriously good piece of work here. Impressive!

Thanks UK,

When I get back to it...I'm going to add the back part of the church and the convent yard. The building units will be in sections and usable for other set-ups.
