1/72 2nd Manassas (a work in progress) (2 Viewers)

Great set-up Cap and sure hope those Rebs give Pope's Yankees a barrel full of hell.

I too believe the Colonel has got the wrong Manassas, as you state it was the first battle with civilian spectators. They all rode out from Washington with picnics but quickly fled back when their boys in blue lost.

Nice work Cap Keep it up.

Very nice Captain, the addition of some new troops certainly adds to the diorama. Looking forward to more pictures in the future.

Thanks Mike. Its one of my favorites as well. Col. Hessler; I'm sure you are thinking of the first battle of Manassas. Lancer, it can be pretty tough to see these little fellows at times. Thanks for the kind words y'all.

My bad.

I have been adding to this dio slowly over time and thought an update was due. Although the base is now showing some wear and my skills have improved since this was one of my first attempts, it is still a good platform for displaying the wee troops.
Jackson's thin line is still holding strong;

Longstreet arrives on the right and with them, much needed supplies.

And Stuart's Cavalry and Horse Artillery get behind the federal right.

Here is an over all shot. It's SLOWLY getting there. A long way to left to go but a most enjoyable journey.

Nice job painting on your diorama board. I enjoy viewing your progress on the battle scenes. john

Thanks Leadmen and Britfarmer. It is nice to have something that can stay up and put my figures on as I get them finished.

Stunning set up looks great as it is but, looking forward to seeing more pics
