Well here it is folks, my St-M-E dio. The focus in the dio is on the Greyhound M8. M8 and equipment are a complete repaint. Added two antennas, changed the vehicle number and being from C company I gave it the name "Culver". Made the driver a member of the 4th infantry div and put a map of Utah beach and its hinterland under his arms. Other paras are also complete repaints and one para from the 101st I turned into a para belonging to the 82nd by changing his shoulder insignia.
The story: It is Tuesday the 6th june 10.10 hours in S-M-E. An AFV from the 4th inf div has made contact with the 82nd airborne occupying the town.

Men from both div are meeting in an undamaged street; only the street clock has broken glass from a stray bullet

6th june is a Tuesday= garbage collecting day. Unfortunately for the inhabitants of the paint shop the M8 has crushed their garbage can under its wheels

The Greyhound is not alone, in its tracks a column of AFV

The commander is asking directions to a 82nd para. The map of Utah beach and its hinterland under his arms. On the road lays a copy of the very popular daily newspaper" Le Petit Parisien" dated 6th june 1944 ( you may verify, this is a miniature copy I made from the real newspaper from 06.06.44)IMGP1752.JPG IMGP1750.JPG
