That's right! We don't care about later amalgamation of Regiments to "Light Infantry". What's that mean, rifles optional?. I'm thinking Martyn is picturing a band on Foreign Service, not all pretty-like.

Yes the field service dress is more appropriate but that was the only band I had "to go to war with at the time" (to paraphrase).
