2015 NHL season (2 Viewers)

Time for the mid season power ranking. Very Western Conference oriented with the Central Division leading the way. When Florida is leading a division in the East you know it is a down year. Here are my top five cup contenders:

1) Chicago
2) Washington
3) LA
4) Dallas
5) St. Louis

I know it is the easy way out but I would say that a Chicago vs. Washington Stanley Cup Final is a distinct possibility as they are both dominating right now. There is still lots of hockey to be played but they are both deep and could even survive a few injuries to key players.

Caught some of the Kings/Bruins replay today. What a beat down. Not sure what is going on in Beantown but I was waiting for a big hook to drag their coach away. 9-2 with the most SOGs against Boston since 1965. Nine different Kings scored goals including some guys I didn't know were still on the team.

The former GM of the Bruins ruined this team, signed all the wrong guys to long term deals and traded away/let walk the players he should have kept.

Then the new GM made a series of boneheaded trades and made a bad situation worse.

The Seguin trade will go down as probably one of if not the worst trades in NHL history.

They went from Stanley Cup Champions in 2011/Stanley Cup finalists in 2013/Presidents trophy winners in 2014 to a laughing stock, the fall has been incredible.

Not as big of a hockey fan as I used to be, so whatever, it is what it is.

That said, those old school kings uniforms last night were spectacular...................they need to ****can those God awful black uniforms and go back to the purple and gold....................................

I agree on going back to the Kings purple & gold. I think they went to black when black was the rage as for as uniforms.

Is that something from Star Trek? LOL I gave up on that thread and must have missed something but no. I just don't like fast food.

Yes, you missed it. You were going on and ranting and raving about Boss Hogg's Hardees and dissing KFC or something and I offered to send you a rack of fajitas to cheer you up. But I did ask you if you were a latent vegan eater out of curiosity for you contempt for fast food joints.

So, your answer is simple and I accept that:

You just don't like fast food...cool.

Recently, I too have been turned off by fast food. HOWEVER COMMA, we do have some different fast food down here in South Texas. Like you can pick up a couple of Beef Fajita and Guacamole tacos on flour tortillas through a drive thru. But, they are soooooooo good. They are not Taco Hell. There is also some good *** fried chicken and sweet tea from Bill Millers BBQ that could be considered "fast food" I guess because they have a drive through, but dayum it is good eating. But fast food, fast food...as in a national franchise I really don't partake in. The local joints (that are franchised here) are 10 times better than the national joints.

Just my two cents and I so glad your not a vegan.

There are some great local places. By fast food I mean the McDonalds type places. I can't eat anything from those. The food is not only awful but will take a good chunk of your life if you eat there often enough.

I wish the California Golden Seals were still round. Now that was a uniform.

Bruins lost to Detroit today 6-5, blowing a 3-1 lead and getting outshot 52-21 in the process.

Detroit scored on a clear offsides, a clear high stick, off of a Bruins players skate and off of a Detroit players shin guard.

All they missed out on was one off the scoreboard and one that hit the protective netting behind the goal, hit the goalie in the back of the head and dribbled into the net.

This team blows; sell, sell, sell at the deadline, blow it up and start over................

It seems like just yesterday that the Bruins were a dominant force creating rivalries everywhere they went. They either got really old really fast or they forgot how to win. I think they can rebuild fast, although I am not sure if it is better to do it via free agency or trades?

Watching the Bruins go from Stanley Cup Champions in 2011, to finalists again in 2013 to presidents club winners in 2014 to where there are now makes me appreciate the Patriots and how consistent they've been for over 15 years.

A combination of signing the wrong players to long term deals, letting other players go instead and most importantly, making one of the worst trades in the history of hockey in letting Seguin go for basically nothing has ruined this team.

As mentioned before I feel your pain. The Sharks consistently let guys go who make deep runs into the playoffs once they are on another team. Niemi was all over Sportscenter again last night making spectacular saves for the first place Stars.

Never is a long time, but I'll never forgive the Bruins for giving up on a 20 year old generational talent like Seguin.

They could have built the team around him for years to come.

They compounded the mistake by basically getting nothing back in return for him.

It's going to suck to see him go into the hockey HOF wearing a different sweater than the one with the "B" on it...............

Kings and Caps tonight. Possible Cup preview. Mike Richards and Justin Williams playing against their old team. The Caps look unbeatable this year. It's now or never for them with Ovi not getting any younger.

Watched the Blackhawks/Rangers game tonight, Hawk were up early, then trailed 3-2, tied it on a power play and won it on another power play, 5 goals on 20 shots.

They are a machine, 3 Cups in 6 years, they look very good to me, although once again, the West is loaded....................

The Kings are spanking the Hawks tonight in Chicago. That is a good sign for the playoffs. 5-0 beat down.

As much as I hate saying this, don't ever count the Hawks out in the playoffs.
I'm hopeing & praying we (Blues) don't play them in the first round. We got our collective butts kicked last night by no less than Calgary. After beating Chicago, Anaheim and Dallas last week a let down was sure to happen.
