Just made my reservations for four glorious days at the Hyatt Regency!!! Friday Sept. 23rd until Monday the 26th, if it's the only vacation I get this year it will be this year's show, don't say it George!!! :) the only way I'm not there is if I'm dead, that I can't control :) I know it's early but any others here on the forum plan on going???...Sammy

I will be there!
Hoping to recreate the evening fun of last year outside in front of the hotel!

watching you wretch over the trash can from too much Tequila was a blast...^&grin

Where have I heard this before? Hopefully, we're not talking about Sammy's funeral come September {eek3}

That would suck!!!!! :) Actually just noticed on the calendar it's about 7 months to the day upon arrival (for me anyway) I told the good wife at the beginning of the year no East Coast vacation this year and described the many sights and sounds of Chicago beside the show itself, she's still on the fence about going but I'm all in, see y'all in 7 months!!!!!!!!!!! :)...Sammy

7 months is a long ways off ----- but as this has started already...

I think I am going to emulate Beetlejuice … say my name 3 times and I will appear behind you to scream BOO! and make you spill your drinks … I will pop up when you least expect me, and then disappear {eek3}

No leash, GPS or etc will keep tabs on me -- once the room is closed and I’m no longer working anyway!

Now to run away until Monday - be good, guys :rolleyes:

I assume your advice only works in September :rolleyes2:

Again, this sounds like something from a Cary Grant movie, maybe more Hitchcockian, perhaps "The Treefrogger Who Wasn't There."

I reckon Jules there will be plenty of spilled drinks lying around the hotel floor....^&grin

Have wanted to go for years, but cost is limiting, but will be made redundant later on this year and with luck will have something else sorted by then, so with a bit of luck and a bit of cash I will be over for a week or so and visit Chicago, as well as undertake the two day cycle route from Milwaukee to Chicago.

Been a few years since I last visited the colonies.....be nice to see what you have done with the place, hear you have decorated and expanded a little.

hello

I am staying in downtown Chicago and would appreciate advise on how to get to the show from Chicago?

If you're going to the Show, I recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency Schaumberg, where the Show is held or nearby. Otherwise, you may need to take a cab although there may be a train that goes out there.

I'd stay downtown a few days and then drive to the show and stay in Schaumburg the days you want to be at the show.

I was informed on Monday that this is now 4 months away! Discussions have been started in this office already {eek3}

And just a heads up for anyone planning which days they are attending - the Annual Treefrog/Sierra/Troops of Time Customer Appreciation Dinner will be back to our usual Friday night - plan on Friday September 23rd for that event! More details will follow in a few months time....^&grin

Can't wait to see everyone!

There was a poll last week and a figure of Kim Jong-un won. Did you miss that?
