Well, unfortunately for me, it became official today that I can't make it to the Chicago Show this year
I had three days worth of overtime credit hours saved and planned to use them for the Thursday, Friday and Monday around the show weekend.
But now some "important" upcoming stuff at work got scheduled just around that time, second half of September until mid October.
It's somewhat disappointing, but can't help it. While I won't be missing out on any Toy Soldiers, "the stuff I currently collect/buy, I can get that any time from my dealer online", I will sure miss meeting some people at the show.
There are many, but I only want to mention two in particular, and they are Pat "wadepat" and John "Leadmen". Every time I had the most fun and relaxed times during several shows with those two guys.
I hope that all attendants, collectors, mfrs. and dealers will have a jolly good ol' time :wink2:
Good sales for the dealers, good finds for the collectors, and good, successful presentations for the mfrs.
And then, of course, all have the best of times in the after hours, evenings get-togethers ^&grin
I know it will be fun.
Whoever has the ability, time and camera with him, keep us in the loop about what was going on at this year's show.
Cheers!
