Yeah, the O's are picked to be last every year but they have the most wins in the AL over the last few seasons. The prognosticators never get it right. -- Al

Let'em keep picking us last, seems to be working pretty good for the O's as Al mentioned, I'll throw this out there as far as the Orioles, if Tillman, Gausman, Bundy do the heavy lifting on the starting pitching, the relievers are some of the best in the Majors, not even worrying about who's hitting the most HR's once again, so if a few things pan out here or there for the O's, you never know where this team could be in 6 months from Monday, let's go O's!!!!!!!!!

The Astros seem like a strange pick to win the AL West. They finished 2016 11 games behind the division champion Rangers and both teams currently have relatively the same rosters as last year?

Hey Sammy, did you see that the O's have signed the 23 year old son of Cal Ripken Jr. to a minor league contract? Ryan Ripken will be assigned to the Class A Aberdeen Iron Birds. His stats in 3 years in the minors are not impressive, batting .205 and hitting 3 Hr's in 145 games. -- Al

Perhaps they were picked last because it's a very competitive division, more so than any other division.

Well , that all went bye-bye in a hurry. Arizona has his number in the 6th and the score is now 3-3. -- Al

Bullpen lets Bums down and the culprit was the former Nats closer from last year, Melancon. He should be ok in the long run, at least he was for the Nats and Pirates. -- Al

While it is only opening day that type of loss is tough to take. Mad Bum did all he could both on the mound and at the plate and then the bullpen gave it all back. My biggest problem is how easily Arizona got to Melancon. Let's hope it was an anomaly and/or opening day nerves.

Ahhh......A sweet bit of revenge served up to the Jays as Trumbo wins the game for the O's in extra innings, maybe not a playoff game like last October be it's good way to start the season.
