Greetings fellow collectors, dealers, and toy soldier aficionados! This is our official announcement for the 2017 West Coaster show. It will be held January 5-8th. As in the past, there will be the traditional "room action" on the 5-7th.

Sunday, January 8th, will be the main event in the ballroom.

The location for the show will be at the Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove. Please do not forget to let them know that you are with the West Coaster when you book your rooms. We have secured a discounted rate for anyone associated with the show.

Below we have placed the relevant links for your perusal. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Glad to see the show continuing, sad to see the date change. This makes travel a tad difficult since it is right after the holidays and time off. Unfortunately, may have to miss this one this year.

That might make it difficult for me as well.

Tom and Brad,

I know the timing isn't all that great being so close to the holidays and all, but we will be wearing short sleeve shirts here while you guys will probably be freezing your you know whats off. I know from personal experience since we lived in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and in Connecticut for three years each. You could make it a family vacation since the hotel has a free shuttle to nearby Disneyland. I hope you can make it.

I hear ya, unfortunately, still being a member of the workforce hurts in this case!! We are off for about 2 weeks prior, so real hard to then take off again.

If anyone has an additional questions for the organizers Scott has requested I post his and Woody's emails as well:

Hello all,

We understand that the date change is certainly not ideal. At this late point in the game, we were lucky to secure a date at all. For the 2018 year we are in negotiations to change the month from January back to our original date in March. Also, we suggest once again, that should anyone have questions please do email us at:

thewestcoastertoysoldiershow@gmail.com or oldtoysoldierhome@att.net

Kind regards and thank you for keeping the West Coast's number one collectors show alive,

-Andrew and Craig McClain

Hi Guys,

Alas, King & Country will not be at next year's "West Coaster". The date of the show January 5-8 is too close after our Events scheduled in Europe in December 2016.

However, I want to wish Woody, Scott and everyone all the very best for the coming show and hopefully if future dates allow, we may come back to the West Coast.

It has always been one of my personal favorite shows.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy

P.S. Already looking forward to Texas in May!

Originally, I had heard that the price was set for West Coaster associates at $129.00 per night.

Prost,

That is correct. Please don't forget to mention the West Coaster when making your room reservations; they have committed to a certain number of room night bookings, so every night counts to help them reach their commitment. I received my 2017 show contracts Monday and have returned them with payment for two tables in January. I spoke to Craig this morning and he sounded better than he has in the recent past which is good news. Craig said that they will try and get better show dates in the future (i.e., around the normally scheduled first week in March, if possible.).

Hi Andrew
How much is the Discounted Room Rate ?

Thanks

Hello Denver,

It looks like I was beat to it! The information from Mike Tarantino and The Kraut is correct.
I want to remind everyone to check out our website, http://www.thewestcoaster.com/westcoasterhome.html
AND our facebook, https://www.facebook.com/WestCoasterToySoldierShow/

Check them from time to time, sometimes there is news regarding the upcoming show.

Kindest regards, and don't forget to book your rooms!

I will be there dude. I'm thinking about going naked to spice things up.

Tom:

Yeah dude, I finally got the background sorted on that Sherman back in 2015. KGB and I recently went to Vegas to celebrate 13 years of marriage. While she was doing some sort of spa thing, I went out and got the one on my leg. She didn't seem to pleased about it. I retorted with, well its not like its on your body. Not sure how she's tolerated me for 19 years, she should probably get studied by some sort of Berkeley think tank. I must be some sort of world champion at winning over hearts and minds bahahahaha

Keep it silly dude

Chris mate, nice ink and there's no room to fit a Tiger! ^&grin Yeah mate, you'll have to get an award for being such a smooth talker! You should also organise some quality shrink time for your poor suffering KGB!!! ^&grin

Maybe one of the moderators should change the main title under Shows and Show Reports from "West Coaster (Irvine)" to "West Coaster (Orange County)" since the show is no longer held in Irvine.
