The big photo was sent to me from a fellow collector and these, which show a horse team in detail (which was "scratch built" i.e. converted from other flats) :
Ray, that's a very, very nice Christmas present you have there.
Jeff
Hey Ray,
Many thanks for this STUNNING thread! It's so great to see mass displays of flat figures and great battle scenes. Hopefuly, this exposure will help acquaint those who are not familiar with our passion about the hidden joys of flats.
BTW, a link to this thread made it to a BFFS thread - so I hope those from there will find Treefrog and post some of their collections here. Thanks for that "aba."
Hi Ray,
Looking forward to pix of your latest acquisitions.
I saw some pix of the Paris auction lots, and they all looked really nice. My flats collection consists of mostly what I paint or acquire at shows - which is usually from Russia. Not all that familiar with the names of "classic" flats painters - but I know what I like!
Yes, I'd say its time for a serious diorama setting for those gorgeous figures!
PJ,
I'm not all that familiar with those considered "Icons" in the flat universe either, but I do recognize names I've seen discussed on other boards. I will tell you this, serious euro's exchanged for some of those sets! you mentioned this thread on the BFFS site, I couldn't find it so I figure it's in the members only section?
Ray
