I think I have a full day to play today. I have set up a 4 by 8 table in the garage decked out with my new Diorama Drape. We'll be starting with WW2, but who knows where the day will end up.

In one corner I tried my hand on tread marks and shell craters.

It's 2:30...time to change things around again.

Looks great to me. What are you using for your "drape" and where did you get it?

The "Drape" is my own invention. It's like a huge grass mat, but it drapes over any old thing you want to put under it so you can get hillside contours. You add your other scenic elements to it and you have a movable, versatile, storable, totally cool play area. Stay tuned to see what else can be done with it.

I will be selling some on eBay in early September. It's still in the developmental stage.

Joe, these photos are just fantastic, btw if you're planning on attending OSTN this year PLEASE bring the drape along!:D;)

Outstanding setup and photos in your WWII diorama and the newly listed subject looks just as good.
Thank you very much for sharing your playtime.

Harold, You would know about the crazy joy of making "Cool" things. I sometimes try to imagine what energy of delight has to go through your mind as you put so much time into "doing" a theme. No body does EPIC like you.

I've been pretty limited on space since my daughter got married a year ago April and all their stuff filled up 2/3 or my basement playspace and almost all of the garage workspace. (They're raising support for Campus Crusade for Christ and have been living with us and her in laws as they've been meeting with people to join their team.) I have the Mexican Village scene, the Western Town, the Jungle Temple and the Boonesborough sets taking up all my playspace in the basement except for a card table.
My usual way of doing scenery is pretty messy and that limits me. The 'Drape' is like a pardigm shift in my thinking and it really is fun coming up with new things that can be done. I love being able to just lay down a road wherever I want it...and then be able to pick it up and put it away. Unfortunately, I won't have any more extended play time for several weeks. O well.

Please post a heads up here when you decide to sell some.
