A little northwest frontier and sudan (1 Viewer)

Hi, Both Mike at Little Legion and Craig at WETS are great sources for expanding our dioramas converging towards the Northwestern and Sudan.... Unfortunately the heavy hardware that Trophy used to field is no longer an easy catch.....
These are a few examples of what they can help us with.....more I have loaded onto my albums entitled Victorian Colonial Wars. Feel free to check.

Very nice to see some NWF sets in action! Thanks for sharing them.

Dave

Lovely sets.
I recognize the Littel Legion 24 th foot in Kakhi but some of those artillery sets I do not recognize.
Could you tell us whose they are.
Thanks once again for posting.

Hi Damian,

The artillery pieces are mainly Mountford, old sets no longer available, and one from Kingcast.
I always try to match Mountford and Steadfast guns to LL garrisons since I see it as a great match...

Best Regards,

Luiz

Hi Team,

Remember when we spoke of a maxim machinegun so as to provide our colonial troops with some real fire power.....and with that better explore the later Sudan/Egypt and Northwestern campaigns that the current offerings of gatling guns and nordenfelts cannot cope with due to the fact they were phased out......well guess what Craig at Wilson Edward Toy Soldiers - www.wilsonedward.com has released a great maxim gun and carriage.....see pictures below...All I have for now are pictures from his pdf catalogue of a set in casting not painted....but for sure the painted version will come soon....The one pictured is a multinational garrison at Peking 1900 Boxer Rebellion, but I have the word that Craig can man the gun with the troops we wish within the range of WETS.....That means, British Boer, African and Northwestern Frontier, Sudan and Egypt.....Russian for the Japanese - Russo War of 1903.....You name it......

Great News.......Now Mike cannot miss the boat.....Craig also has a very nice nordenfelt and gatling image002.gifimage004.gif

Hi Damian,
I have set up a new album for all of us in the site to visit and post pics called Victorian Little Wars......It ideal as a spot to store any pics we may have of our sets that portrait those little spoken of wars and become a source for many other members for ideas. I do believe I hear the pipes of the Gordon Highlanders, they must be on their way to give support:wink2:

Cheers
