Plastic figures saved Britains - plastic figures kept Britains going for 30 years, like it or not, the new owners promised new plastic ranges...nothing.

Well I won't be too sad at Mr Walkers departure.
Most Plastic collectors have long ago given up on WBritains, even after the fine words about new plastic ranges.

I very much doubt that anything will change in this area

A bit insulting isn't it!

I'm more a plastic guy than metal, and while there haven't been any new items in a while, Richard is the best thing that happened to Britains in decades. I think that best of this company will be past now, and the hay-day of Britains is over. Very sad and sorry to see him go. Things won't be the same with this company. Best of luck in all your endevours, Richard. Hope you still make it to OTSN.

Congratulations, Ken, and may Britain's success continue under your direction! I hope we'll see you and Erica again at our show in the future, too.

Prost!

Thanks Brad,
As you might guess we were very busy and as a result could not make the Valley Forge Show this year.

Three members of our creative team were there (Dave, Wendy and Alan) and I have already been filled in on some of the highlights, I wish I could have been there too. We will do our best to be there next year however.

All the Best,
Ken

Hi Jay,
I do agree with you, that Richard was the best thing that could happen to Britains when he took over, but I have to add that I am also totally confident that Ken is the very guy who can keep it going on in the same way we all appreciated the last couple years. I do believe that it was a team effort that got Britains on the successful route, not only by Richard and Ken, but also other most creative people like Dave Youngquist, Alan Ball, Wendy, Ted Deddens, just to name a few. The team is still there, and with Ken being in charge now, it will continue to present us with many choices of fabulous Toy Soldiers and scenic items.
And as Richard is a collector himself, as far as I know, we will without a doubt have a chance to meet him at one or the other Toy Soldier Show over the next few years.
Cheers!

Time will tell.

Thanks for all the kind comments!

Ericka and I will be attending the upcoming Texas Show and hopefully we will see a few of you there.

We will also be at the NPS visitors center for the 150th Gettysburg event this July, so if you plan on visiting there make sure you stop and see us.

...And of course we will be at the OTSN Show.

We are still finalizing other show commitments and will keep you posted.

All the Best,
Ken Osen

Hi All,
I am hoping to see some of you at the upcoming Texas Toy Soldier Show. I thought I would share an image of the TS&MF Contest diorama that we will be bringing to display at the show.
This is what the Sherfy barn may have looked like on July 2nd when Barksdales troops pushed the Federals back across the Emittsburg Road and toward the round tops. This included the men of the 114th Pennsylvania. Figures by W. Britain.

All the Best,
Ken Osen

Excellent. Of course being from Pennsylvania how could I not like.

Another great scene Ken!

These unfortunate Key Stoners look ready to get swept away by one of the “Grandest Charges Ever Seen.”

I’m sure Pemberton would have appreciated Barksdale’s Mississippians and possibly some of the men under Joe Johnston’s command @ Vicksburg during July of 1863.

This diorama begs the question, folly or genius? Did Dan Sickles’ forward deployment of his 3rd Corps save the day @ Gettysburg?

It certainly did make the afternoon a little more hectic for Meade and Hancock. But, the fighting in the Peach Orchard and along the Emmetsburg Road forced the Rebels of Longstreet’s Corps to pay a heavy price to drive back Sickles’ men.

:)

First a big CONGRATULATIONS to Ken! I hope you will be happy and fulfilled in your new position.

Primary concern - if you're the GM who will sculpt our figures? :)

Gentle hint - don't forget WW2. WB hasn't done much in that era for a while. While I am primarily a "plastics" guy, I like the WW2 figures that Ken, et al have done for WB, ONTC, and others. I'm willing to buy some in metal to get more.

Congratulations Ken,

A position well deserved. We look forward on your new releases.

Chuck
