Mike, your diorama is absolutely outstanding and very inspiring. Nice job! Would you mind telling us where you got those very realistic bushes, with the individual leaves on them? They look so life like. Thanks for sharing your diorama with us.

Absolutely fantastic pics - I bet you are looking forward to the release of the promised watchtower ;-)

Great dio, Mike. Has everything a dio should have. So many things happening with so much detail. I really like the enclosure with the corn plot. A nice bit of everyday life. -- Al

Another stunning diorama Mike, I think this one maybe your best yet. :) (Although I must admit I do prefer these type of non combat scenes)

Outstanding diorama, nicely done. A lot going on, but not overcrowded. Thanks for sharing.

EXCELLENT! I really like the little touches - like the growing corn. Very realistic!

I don't recognize the sitting figure playing the drum. Is that a JJ?

Thank you...

dehelmsman...
George...I made the trees and shrubs from dried foliage...
Titus...
Niels...I'm also anxious to get the watchtower...do you know if it goes inside the walls or outside...
Al...the corn plot is Wm. Brit...#17614...
10TH LA...
Martyn...
Scott...I'm starting to like the civilian figures more and more also...
Dragoon...
PJDelhurey...the "tom tom" figure is a Frontline...#IWC.3...

thank you guys...I have a lot more pictures I will post today...just have to sort them out to avoid repeats...

Thanks Mufanzalo...John had mentioned in an email a while back that you and Mark had invited him to the re-enactment...he sounded like he really wanted to go and get a chance to fire a musket...but I don't think he wants to miss the Chicago show two years in a row...said you were both great guys...

These are all great photos Mike, but I like the close up of the two women in the corn. Brilliant !!! you can just imagine what they are talking about while they tend the crops.

I think the flaw in that set up is that the corn would have been planted outside the palisade...and not so close to a wall that threw shade...just limited on room to go full scale...so we improvise...

gossipy women whispering...hehehehe...

I want you to know that I ran that mulch in the corn field for a long time in the coffee grinder to pulverize the twigs and give the look of a more fertile cleaner soil for planting than is in the rest of the village groundwork...

Simply Outstanding!!!

OK, where did you get the pot!!!

Ok, where did you get the fire!!!

Great diorama Mike! I can't say they get better and better, because they're all great.

My question is: Where did you get the farm animals from?

Cheers

Pete
