Haven't posted a photo in awhile . . . . Thought I would share one I took this afternoon featuring two of my newly acquired WB ACW Rebs #31130 "Confederate Standing in Reserve at the Right Shoulder" and #31131 Confederate Standing in Reserve Resting Musket. Both are very well done figures . . . I particularly like the detail of the blanket roll on #31131. It appears as if they are:

As always Mike Nicely staged and photographic..........Joe

Worth the wait Mike, I do like your dio board and the way you set up your figures, which must number quite a few now. :smile2:

Wonderful Mike as usual. From the backscene to the base and the figures & buildings they all tie in nicely.

Im looking at the three soldiers on the right. The guy in the middle looking to his right, and saying, "Hey Pete, did he just say the 5th Virginian was leading the charge?" Looking at the expression of the guy on the far right. I can almost believe him replying, "Jack, I just wet my pants!" The soldier on the far left, looks like he is in shock! Kind of like, all he could say was "Hell!"

I enjoy looking for stories within sets, When Mike does a set there are often a lot of little stories within......I hope Mike will do more small sets and sees what story lines he can create with a few figures....it also shows we don't need a zillion figures to do a great dio.......keep it coming Mike.....

Mike, always nice to see what you have been up to !
Great setting
Kirk

Thanks Steve . . . . The backdrop is a photo of Seminary Ridge at Gettysburg which Ken & Erica took while visiting there. They had several enlarged (19" x 32") copies of it made using clay based pigments (won't fade) on .25" foam board. They were selling these at the 2010 Chicago OTSN show and I was lucky enough to get one. Its one of my favorite backdrops and I use it ofeten.

Mike....You sure were lucky, love to get my hands on one of those!! I have seen it around before on the forum, but it always seems whatever you put in front of it the scale is always correct.

Really Impressive!{bravo}}

All 5 elements work perfectly together. …… your photography skills; the Britains house/wash room and fence; the correct figures for the scene; the grass and road mat and various shrubby and the Backdrop.

The most interesting figure is the guard on the far left. He looks extremely anxious, wanting to get Lee out of there and away from Yankee sharpshooters. {sm2}

Always look forward to your works of art! --Larry

Very nice Mike. Panoramic as usual. Is that the Chosen Ground Display Base? I hope to be in possession of one soon.

Thanks Larry. The guard at "Port Arms" on the left is a WB conversion that Ken Osen did for me . . . One of my favorite "one ofs" that Ken has done for me in the past.

Thanks Brad . . . . No, not the Chosen Ground dio base . . . . The dio base in the photo is a small portion of my 4-foot x 8-foot "play" table which I commissioned Ken Osen to make for me . . . .

Mike, your work always looks well planned and staged. It's always got a great story to tell. What really intrigues me is how seamlessly the background pic blends with your base. And by the way, you've definitely gotten a lot of mileage out of that 4'X8' with so many different vignettes. It's a pleasure looking.{sm4}

Thank you, Joe, for the kind remarks . . . . so glad you have enjoyed my forum offerings . . . .
