Heading into a heat spell with vey high humidity for the next several days. Heat Index warning has been issued locally with recommendations to stay inside. Darn! Now I can't work in the yard like my wife wanted me to do :wink2::tongue:. I guess I'll just have to follow the recommendation and stay put in my basement man cave where its nice and cool. Nothing to do but "play" . . . .

The basement is a good place to be on a hot day Mike...especially when it is filled with toy soldiers! Nice photos as always, keep up the good work.

Mike: Good stuff...you have taken some of WB's newest rollouts combined them with some existing inventory and given us a great mid July/summer depiction of a plausible ACW occurence albeit in minature. Wish I could join you in the basement....stay cool this week my friend. It is quite ironic that you post this interpretation of American history in conflict as the nation bakes and seeks to make some semblence of a fiscal crisis that is starting to take on some stark parallels of our great nation being divided. That despite our differences back in the 1860's we chose to settle the divisiveness on the field of battle rather than negotiating the chasm across from a table... to try to forge some common ground, some shared responsibility and common platform to come together to create a future of prosperity and purpose. Back in the ACW the division was deep, it was separation of a great nation based on two philosophical variations that brought our country face to face in a heated struggle that lasted four plus years. Candidly we can re create the past in miniature yet we are somewhat overcome by the present confronting a divide that threatens our existence and our ability to lead and to prosper and to overcome great obstacles. 150 years separates the great debates that evolve from time to time. I can't help but integrate both your depiction and our present political debate. They bare incredible similarities and I applaud your ability on this site to construct the past as a mechanism to confront our future.

Thanks to all; Martyn, Mark, Chris, Michael, Joe, Ken, and Jefman. The temperature is really supposed to soar today . . . heat index in the 100's. Looks like I'll have some more time available to enjoy my ACW figures . . .

Very nice display Artillery Crazy. YOu have quite a collection. Chris

Just returned from a 10-day vacation and am catching up on the forum threads. Your ACW artillery display is very nice looking and you certainly photographed it well. Thanks Artillery Crazy for sharing this with us.

Very nice ACW scene indeed, especially with the backdrop.

Carlos

Hi Carlos and Mike,
Thankyou for the note.
As soon as I have more time I will assemble the troops again and take a few shots. In my profile I have albums with many more pics, feel free to scout.
I still need to find a way of having more space to lay the sets out so that I can have more space and therefore more depth of field to build dioramas.
Regards
LF
