One of the many items that are made by Ken & Ericka Osen and available through their company Hudson and Allen, are mini diorama bases. These are ideal for the collector that has limited space for displays, or for augmenting terrain features on larger dioramas. I got this split-rail fence mini-dio from Ken while he was here this past week. He plans to have several of these at the Chicago OTSN show in September - no two are alike and they will feature an aray of different focus points. They are all small, this one of mine being approximately 9-inches long by 6-inches wide. For these photos I placed it on the Chosen Ground diorama base. As you can see it blends in very well with the "wild grass" that Ken and Ericka use on all their dio bases. I placed two of the new Hudson and Allen "large bushes" in the first two photos to show how these very nice and versatile items can be used. The last photo was taken from above to show the outline of the entire mini-dio a little better.

Thanks and I am glad you all enjoyed the photos this morning: Scott, Titus, Michael, Bama Boy, Mitch, Joe, and Brian . . . . . . .

Very Cool!!
Where did you get the background scene?

The background scene comes with "The Chosen Ground" display base, Wm Britain #DISP10.

Very nicely done Mike. I like how the fence partially obscures their eyes.

Good to see you are still playing Mike... but I suppose you were slammed by the rain that pounded us on our way home.

We stopped at the open air museum Old World Wisconsin so Ericka could attend a meeting after we left Madison. What a great place to visit! I managed to get a few pictures between rainstorms, but it is on my list of places to revisit very soon.

I like the way you used your new 'The Chosen Ground' base with the scenic element. That was one of twenty new ones that we have created for the Chicago show. As you already mentioned, they are all different and were designed to use with larger bases or to use as small stand alone displays. Ericka thinks we should list a few of them on our H&A website too, so hopefully we will get a few pictures up soon.

All the Best,
Ken

I am glad you got home safe and sound. Yeh, we got pounded by the rain here also - thought about you guys and how your day was going at Old World Wisconsin - great museum of old restored buildings. Once again, I really enjoyed our time together earlier this week and I am looking forward to the day when we can do it again.
:) Mike
