Yesterday afternoon UPS deliverd two big boxes containing WB sets. Among the items received were #31196 & 31197 (Death of Cushing sets) and 31221, 31222, 31223, & 31224 (Confederates/Turnpike Fence sets). I also received some AWI militia figures which I am starting to collect to augment the Clashes of Empires range that will soon be released. Spent most of the day off and on unboxing and then of course setting up the new arrivals on my ACW dio table. Just finshed taking some quick photos to show . . . . . I plan to take more tomorrow when I have more time to include backdrops, better lighting, etc.

that's quite a scene Mike...
absolutely beautiful...
as you keep adding metal figures to your diorama...
I think it's time you check the integrity of your table...
it's looking pretty heavy...^&grin

Mike, I really like your ever changing diorama board. I hope to have one just like it when I retire, but in WWII. Great set up!

Great scene Mike.Have any idea how many ACW figures you have?

Thanks my Texian friend. Earlier today I thought I heard some creaking sounds coming from the table due to the load it was carrying in TS. However, upon further investigation I discovered it was my own body making the creaking sounds {eek3}

And they do come in some BIG boxes.

. . . . and then some.

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More pics please :) Brad

More tomorrow . . . I promise

Thank you very much. The table was made purposely so that I could change it around a bit when I wanted too.

Mike, wonderful as always! {bravo}}

Thanks

Great scene Mike.Have any idea how many ACW figures you have?
Mark

Mark I have no idea but perhaps a rough estimate. If you asked my wife how many I had she would probably tell you too many. In the above photos there are 239 figures used (I actually counted them all in order to answer your question in part). This is perhaps a third of my collection. What is not being used in these photos and either displayed in an cabinet or on shelves are my Union Iron Brigade figures, my Union artillery crews and guns, my Union mounted Cavalry, misc Union figures, my Canfederate mounted Cavalry and Mounted officers, my Confederate artillery crews and guns, my Confederate firing line, and other various Confederate misc figures and sets.

That's a big setup! I really like the cornfield. Couple of questions. Of the fence pieces, do you have a favorite, and are you planning to pick up the upcoming camp pieces? They look to be nicely sculpted.

aaaaaah...I see...I have been hearing that same creaking noise at my house but thought it was my wooden floor...

You may actually have more civil war figures then I do :mad:

Thank you Dan. The new 18th/19th Century Corn WB #51030 are really very nice and allows the creation of a more realistic corn field for that time period. I think that my favorite Reb/Fence set is WB #31221 "Come on Boys" . . . I think the poses are more dynamic and it includes a casualty (I am actually considering ordering a second set). However, WB #31223 "A Grim Harvest" would be a close second in my opinion if not a tie for favorite. The three casualty figures and the fence being torn apart by shrapnel are very well done . . . . can't have enough casualties. I am thinking about picking up the new Union camp pieces.

Isn't getting older a real rush Michael . . . .

Well Paul, that might be a good thing . . . . It means you have more money left than me :wink2:

Fabulous pictures Mike :salute:: please keep them coming

Jeff

Jeff its always a great day when parcels arrive at the doorstep, especailly when they contain long awaited TS releases . . . .

Your collection has really grown Mike, looks fantastic. The new fence sets really are great, WB has done a fantastic job on them.

I love looking at dioramas like this. There is just so much to look at and enjoy in this scene. Great stuff Mike.

What a fantastic diorama. It seems I can almost hear the gun shots and smell the gun powder smoke. I sure do wish I had more room to do another ACW dio. Cause that is all I model in. No other range. Keep up the great work and keep those pics coming. {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}
