With anticipation of getting WB ACW #31056 "Union Artillery Set #2 "Loading Canister" (now available) perhaps within the week, I played around with my other two Union sets, WB on the left and ONTC on the right. In this photo, Confederate infantry is overwelming the Union front line and as the Federal troops fall back a two-gun section of an artillery battery is . . . .

. . . READY WITH CANISTER

Hopefully the Yanks aren't planning on using grapeshot sure would play havoc with the Yanks at the stone wall.:eek::eek:. Nicely photograph Mike.

Lot of interesting action going on there.....and The Lt. gave me a chuckle...really nice camera work......notice some of the union are glossy are they very old????

Mike...your road battle picture is really nice...you've disguised the bases and taken some really nice photos...looks like you're having a lot of fun with all your new stuff...

Thanks one and all; Scott, Joe, Mitch, Jake, rharry, Michael, and Martyn

I had a feeling someone would question this. I don't think the Yanks at the stone wall will mind - after all they are the Iron Brigade ;)

Those figures that appear to have a sheen to them are made by Old Northwest Toy Company (also sculpted by Ken Osen) and although they are matte, there is enough of a sheen to them that it shows up in photographs. I plan to eventually spray these with a coat of Testors Dull Coat which will remedy this.

The bases did get covered nicely . . . I know how much you like "to cover all the bases" ;)

:) Mike

Pretty spectacular! Just be aware of the correct positions on the guns for the various gunners especially the #1 man with the ramrod/sponge.

Hi All,
Mike and I discussed this briefly while we were visiting and I even brought a can of Dull coat to use but got to involved in setting up the diorama and forgot to do anything.
Testors Dullcoat spray will reduce the sheen on any figure very nicely. I have even sprayed some of my K&C and JJ figures with it for photography. The most important ting to remember is to shake it well before spraying.
You can always go back with some clear gloss and a paintbrush to highlight details after it is dry.

All the Best!
