Here's my newest addition to my AAF collection.
This pilot figure from K&C is top notch as usual. For my backdrop I have depicted Jack Ilfrey's P-38J named "Happy Jack's Go Buggy". Ilfrey was part of the 79th Fighter Squadron of the 20th Fighter Group stationed at Kingscliffe England in the Spring of 1944. In this plane he took down a 109 on a escort mission over Germany. It was knocked down as a result of having an accidental head on mid air collision with it, taking off the tip of Ilfrey's right wing and sending the German plunging to Earth. Ilfrey managed to make it back to Kingscliffe with the damaged wing. (Very interesting reading from "Happy Jack's Go Buggy - A Fighter Pilot's Story" by Jack Ilfrey with Mark S. Copeland / Schiffer Publishing 1998)
I've gotten a new camera and this was a "test session" using different lighting, flash/no flash, backdrop, etc., so some of the pictures are not the best.
