We are very pleased to announce our latest figure release for our Age of the Samurai product range. The range started off slowly, but this release turns it into the proper figure range and will give you an idea of our direction, which is to focus on the Battle of Nagashino in 1575. Figures SAM004-SAM020 primarily cover Oda Nobunaga's Army manning the barricades at Nagashino. These figures and accessories will be shipping to customers worldwide in the second half of April 2010. We sincerely hope you enjoy them!

Just AMAZING.......:eek::eek:

BRAVO.....Matt, to you and your team...:)

I'm not a collector of this series but they look pretty sweet to me, alright Matt, time for some WWII next!!!...Sammy

The "Age of Samurai" are some of the most colorful figures I have ever seen...with your sculpting and painting they are absolutely beautiful.

I'll have to limit my purchases in this series until I find out what else Matt has up his sleeve... BTW, great release! :)

OMG....simply staggering! Congratulations FL. I can hardly imagine what FL could do with Romans, Greeks, Crusaders or essentially anything in chainmail :p. Until then, I sit on the sidelines.

Joe

Congratulations to the First Legion Team.
Another amazing batch of releases and as been said before for the other ranges, what an unbelievable example of price/quality ratio.
Simply stunning.
Konrad

Thanks all, glad you like. We're particularly proud of this long overdue release and I know there are a few of you lurking in the shadows who have been asking about this one for quite some time now.

One small correction - in my initial post below, I listed the SAM011 Nagashino Barricades at $49.95. That's not correct, they're $34.95 as shown in our website catalog.

More stuff coming soon, including some WWII Sammy. ;)

hhhuuurrraayy!!!!!!!

Congratulations Matt to you and the fine craftsmen and women over at First Legion for another fantastic release . I'm sure Samurai fans out there are very Happy to see this announcement . I don't collect the period , but that does not take away from my appreciation of viewing a quality product , and i would say these are top notch . I may even have to pick up one or two just as a representation of the fine craftsmanship, that Archer is fantastic  Now some more Napoleonics please and hopefully a new line that will bring some more collectors to the First Legion banner . Which Is IMO the best in the business . Best regards Gebhard

Matt-
You and your team have once again raised the bar for high-quality figures! The paintwork on these Samurai is simply outstanding. While I don't know much about this period, I can certainly appreciate these amazing figures. Hats off to First Legion for such great work!

Noah

I don't collect this but this is pretty neat stuff. Could make for a very cool diorama.

Your "Age of the Samurai" range just might tempt me to make my very first FL purchase. Absolutely stunning and beautiful figures.
Mike

Wonderful stuff. Nice to see FL maturing and branching out in different directions, especially this spectacular one! Not many doing this historical period. My favourites are the Samurai Archer and Honda Tadakatsu.

Until I find out what the other new range is coming, this very well may be my second FL collection after Napoleonics... :)

Beautiful sculpting and painting yet again. No question this is yet another tempting range. It also makes me wonder about what FL Romans or Knights would look like; it boggles the mind.:cool:

Matt - I was looking at the FL website and SAM015 Samurai Commander w/Sashimono - Oda Clan is listed as having a November release. Is this correct - all the other new Samurai figures are being released the second half of next month.
Mike

I can't even let myself think about possible First Legion versions of Romans or any kind of Knights . Just think what could be obtained with a possible Arminius and the Cherusci battling the Legions of Varus or of The Gallic wars . My GOD  I don't even want to think about The Crusades getting First Legion coverage ..I sure hope that the new lines will be something I don't have a collecting interest in , so i can focus on the task at hand Napoleonics  Gebhard
