Stunning figures AJ, amazing works of art. The Arsenyev figure with the heavy leather armor with black sashimono is a favorite sculpt of mine and nearly impossible to get. That's awesome that you have one, and it is beautiful! That Silver Dream figure is mind blowing too! {eek3}

Happy Holidays All!

Trying to finally get shots of the rest of the Samurai . . .

Nevskaya

Arsenyev Classic PB 15 - I hunted for a while to get one with an earlier paint job which I think is special

Aeroart 3569 -Samurai Dragon Cannon - very interesting with that wooden tool to measure angle of the cannon

Aeroart - 5131 - Kato Kiyomasa - that's some helmet

Aeroart 3329 - Samurai with enemy's head held in teeth a bit grotesque but fun

Group shot which includes few others like the Arsenyev Tokugawa Ieyasu set and - I think this battle scene may be my favorite shelf in the case. I usually have the scene left to right but here used a front to back and i find it draws my eye in more for some reason.

You have so many awesome figures AJ. You sure have a discerning eye for the finer variants. You have a great Arsenyev PB15 (love the green!), and the Nevskaya mounted piece is beautiful. Your version of the cannon set must be an earlier one because I have not seen one before painted as wonderfully as yours- it's fantastic! Your Kato Kiyomasa example is brilliant as well. I really like the color combination on the version you have. The Samurai with the severed head is a favorite of mine. I made a diorama centered around this figure. Thanks again for the photos, Joe

Arsenyev/Aeroart EW2 (elite warrior series) - Louis XIV

Not my typical subject matter but could not resist the paint

Arsenyev LK7 andLK8 - Musketeer vs. French Cardinal Guard

I think this is the only two figures I have ever sold and then repurchased - brings Alexander Dumas to life - I always wondered why they didn't produce a whole set of Musketeers

I have the Louis figure as well. I absolutely love it but always felt the riding crop (or cane) is being held awkwardly. Doesn’t take away my fondness for it at all though

That's an amazing version of the EW Sun King AJ. I always love to see all the different versions by Arsenyev master artists of the the early EW figures. I don't recall ever seeing one like yours, and it is magnificent! The color palette is very unique for this piece, and the paint work is phenomenal! Thanks for the photos. I remember when I got my Sun King. It was a piece I had been looking for. It was at a Westcoaster several years ago, and I got it during room trading in Thor's room. He only had one. It was on display with lots of other figures. A collector in the room saw me locate/purchase it and was upset at himself for not seeing it first. He offered to buy it from me right then and there in Thor's room!

Joe - great story about picking up the Sun King - have you posted your version - would love to see?

Some recent pick ups

Arsenyev PB 424.2 - Emperor Charles V - thought the carved faces decorating the horse were very interesting - I assume this is based off existing records?

Aeroart Samurai - I think they are Nevskaya Sculpts - thought they looked good together

Wonderful figures AJ. The Arsenyev knight is wild! The Nevskaya Samurai painted by Aeroart are well done, and I agree, they go well together and are very nice figures. I will post some pictures of my Sun King. Most of my figures are still packed away from my move last March, but I'm going through them now. I'm pulling out many to sell. I'm still working on that process, but I can send you pictures and prices when I have the lot ready to present for sale.

Best,
Joe

A few new Ottomans:

Aeroart 3732 Janissary Officer and 2502 with Flag

And the current shelf vs the Polish Hussars:

Amazing paint work on the robes on those figures, and the flag is unreal. It blows me away to think that was done with human hands. You sure have an eye for the finest pieces AJ. Thanks for sharing the pics. Joe
