The Horch is released in Hong Kong yesterday... only a few was produced and pooof... gone in 60 seconds!

Anyway, I managed to get one and I am 'wowed.' Looks like my DAK got a moral boost with their new command vehicle on the scene.

The license plate matches the one on the reference photo... a real attention to detail! (Although I know some collectors gets very ticked off whenever I pinch out the little details)

As usual, I like to put forward some 'constructive criticism' to the model...

1. Rommel's headsculpt is not like rommel, as pointed out before. IMHO, the Greif's Rommel has a better, more realistic sculpt.

2. The windshield's frame is too thick... again, someone pointed out before that the windshield would break too easily if the frame is made too fragile, hence compromising its appearance.

3. No Fritz Bayerlein... why not throw in the Fox's best 2nd in command?

4. Seated figures not removable, as stated in the K&C dispatches. Collectors are happier with removable figures so that more variety in display is available. But I think K&C is already consicous of this collector's demand, otherwise they won't have deliberately mentioned this in the dispatch beforehand.

After all, Thanks for listening, Mr. Andy.

Hmm, I didn't know King & Country made releases on Saturday. I don't believe that's the case. Also, as a member of the Collector's Club, I get a notice when a release is made and I haven't received one yet.

Who are you really?

Ah,a forum mystery!.I like it!!.All we need is a Belgian detective, a disgruntled family gathering to claim the inheritance and a newly hired housemaid with a secret past.....;)

Rob

Come to think of it who are Moggy, Caledonian Ninja, Old Tanker as well?

The Spice girls were the Beatles and The Clash of our generation. They oozed committment and integrity from every fibre of their being. Who can forget the Summer of 97. A young Tony Blair was in Number 10. Princess Di was still alive I tell You what I want was on everyone's lips and I was visiting London for teh first time. Man those were the days.
Let me tell you what I want what a I really really want.
A rommel Horch

Hey, some of us resemble those remarks...:mad:Michael

Who I am doesn't matter. In Hong Kong K&C's retail shop it's arrived, but gone very soon.

Just wanna let you guys know that there are people living in other parts of the world outside of 'North America."

Here is a poor quality cell phone photo, later I will use my digital camera to take better pics.

And this is the Horch, not UFO or some visual hallucination

All right, whoever you are. You might be someone at King & Country, for all we know;) And how would you know it's gone, did you wait until every last one was sold and check the inventory at the end of the day, assuming it's been released yet.

Very interesting, waiting for the higher quality photos.

I'm considering this as a pre-order but the Rommel Figure does not resemble Rommel at all IMO.(this was mentioned at the start of this thread)......For me lack of resemblence of the historical figure really somewhat detracts its' appeal for me.....I know it is sometimes difficult to create an accurate depiction of a historical figure but this does not even seem close.......I thought that K/C did well with Winston Churchill, Montgomery, and Hitler.....just an observation......regards to all.......

That's funny, I thought the original standing Rommel figure was a dead ringer for him.

Yes I agree, the original figure is very nice. I'm sure the new figure in person will easily pass muster. I'm looking forward to the release!

Just received a notice from King & Country that the Horch is just now available. Wonder how Herr Oberst received his copy

Dear Brad,

My understanding is that AK46(SL) was on sale this weekend at K&C HK store, that is now availaible for Online Collectors Club members (I received the same notice) and that it will be available from dealers later this month.

IMO, there is no need to make a story with that unless it has to do with a particular member (in this case, Oberstokar and we all know why... http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7309)

Plus ça change, plus c'est pareil

Pierre.

Tell me something, but is the Horch only available to collectors club members. My friend here seems to think that it is. I know it is limited, but I was not aware that it was so limited.
Regards
Damian
